Okay, you've heard the shitters answers, now the real answer:

Nyanners had grown uncomfortable with some of the content that Nekopara had as central themes, mostly related to the "ownership" nature of the catgirls in the show. She was also getting a lot of shit for participating in the game over Twitter, Reddit, and here (guess by who), so she asked the group if they could switch games and they are switching games. None of them have any issue with this and as a result no longer will they be streaming and voice acting Nekopara as a team but will switch to another game starting on Thursday. The collab streams are continuing, the voice acting is continuing, they're just going to do a different game.

The long and the short of it is that Nyanners should have done her research on Nekopara before agreeing to take part in it. Noble should have done his research on what would make Nyanners uncomfortable before inviting her (remember, he also decided to do Doki Doki Literature Club with Mel, Mouse, Silver, and Bunny and decided, along with Silver and Mouse who had played the game already, not to tell Bunny or Melody about the nature of that game and it ended up disturbing Melody very badly). So there's some blame to go around here, but Nyanners is owning her own mistakes on this and has explained her stance on her Discord as to why she was uncomfortable with the content of the game and why she was having an issue streaming it to thousands of viewers. Yes, she shouldn't have done it in the first place. Yes, she could have stuck through it and just never done that again. However, what is done is done.

The shitters constantly point out Nyanners' history in which she states numerous times that she takes her role as a content creator seriously. She knows she has people watching what she feels she owes a certain responsibility to, especially younger viewers, and she's once again making a decision partially based on that notion. Shitters also called her hypocritical for doing this in the first place, and now she's not doing it anymore, so they'll be happy now. I'm sure.

In any event, Nekopara is out and whatever is next is in starting Thursday. That's the story

Sakura Miko is on Twitch already, pulling in 16k viewers, but streams on Twitch before 10 AM Pacific Time, so while she might yank in quite a few US viewers who are up all night / up early, most likely she's going to get a ton more European and eastward viewers. Honestly, it'll depend on how they do it. Korone is coming soon to Twitch, but if she's going at the same time as Miko, there'll be a splitting of those viewers. If she goes during more prime hours for VShojo viewers, you might see some migration, but I don't know. As for the point, I think the recent shit with Haachama has forced Cover to reconsider using only YouTube as their primary platform. There's also the fact that YT takes a cut of the superchats and memberships while Twitch only takes a cut of the memberships which can be negotiated (and you know Cover will do that). Twitch has it's own issues with terms of service and inconsistency, but Cover can fight them a bit easier than any individual streamer can, and the benefits of having multiple high profile Hololive girls is pretty big for Twitch, so they'll most likely give the HL girls a lot of leeway.

I'm not sure because Twitch often has its own fucking issues that are annoying to deal with. Like, I was watching Haruka Karibu's 24h stream and it was having buffering problems every ten seconds, but watching Nyanners or anybody else was no issue.

There are other things to consider with a Twitch move. For Twitch it also means new advertising possibilities for companies located in Japan to advertise on those streams. This is also in light of the recent reveal by Twitch about their advertising score thing they're doing, which reads like some Orwellian shit, but whatever. DMCA issues are a problem, but if HL does its own songs, it'll be no issue. Futhermore, Twitch typically has a better set of options for collab streams, with stream squadding and multi-screen single streams like what they do on Twitch Rivals or Gaming and what VShojo was doing with their Friday collabs. Overall I think Twitch just gives them more options to play with that YouTube is still trying to catch up to. YouTube's promotional algorithm is also pretty fucked, which nobody likes.

Anyway, it makes sense for HL to want to expand to Twitch, maybe not as the primary platform but as a secondary one they can use and pull more numbers and revenue. Twitch still don't allow them to stream simultaneously on YouTube and Twitch, and a few other protective / prohibitive business practices, but a handful of their most popular streamers can really make a lot of money on Twitch. Twitch benefits as well from having a new surge of viewers. Win win.

Maybe unpopular opinion but I feel like Hime is heavily leeching off the rest of Vshojo, and the other girls are doing all the work to keep the company name popular while she reaps the benefits. Leech is thrown around here a lot but if it weren't for VShojo she wouldn't even qualify to be a Twitch Partner, she's streamed 11 hours in 2 months, 6 streams total. Most of the girls stream that many hours per week.

She's cancelled more than one stream because shes not taking it seriously enough to keep track of timezones, didnt even bother to reschedule, she had months to prepare and couldn't test her microphone or pay someone 50$ for debut slides. Everything she has that brings in viewers was handed to her, she has a model worth more than 5k, fans of the other girls who run clip accounts post her, and V-Shojo put together fancy motion graphics for her as advertisement. And she's put in what effort since then?

The only thing Syd has going for her is that she is actually decent in collabs. But that feels like what she does is just drops completely out of character and it is just Sydney playing with the other girls. Which I really DON'T have an issue with, except the contrast between that and what she does solo is really jarring. It's like Snuffy's cute voice vs. the real one, except she doesn't bother telling anybody about it and just flips back and forth randomly. Sydney is not a bad performer, and can actually sing pretty good from what we've heard a bit of, so it isn't like she CAN'T be a good vtuber, but her solo content right now is absolutely not cutting it.

I'm still being patient because we know she can be entertaining, but she needs to find her footing. Having a joke / gimmick as her avatar does not help, but she can break out of that if she wants to put that behind her and just do things seriously. But it's her choice.

Regardless, the problem is that she doesn't really have a character in the first place. It's basically just a collection of anime milf jokes, which can be funny in isolation but don't lend themselves well to the kind of half-roleplay half-lore that allows both the streamer and audience to play off of one another. All she can really do is be her existing internet persona but with an anime girl avatar. That persona works well in a 10 minute edited video, but much less so over a 3 hour stream. In general I don't think she's all that interested in "being a vtuber," it's just something fun to do on the side since she already had the model.

I've watched all of her streams so far but pairing her no effort schedule flop this week with the fact that i cant tell the difference between a stream two months ago and 4 days ago, I wont be bothering anymore unless its a collab and even those might lose the novelty. I thought she was just nervous for the first couple but she hasn't even tried to change anything. I thought the takoyaki stream was at least something interesting, because as she's in Japan she can use that to her advantage and show the weebs some Japan culture shit more easily than the others can.
