basically hatoba tsugu is a super cute vtuber from the days of short videos, not streams, fully 3d-rigged from the start, she made very short artsy and/or amateurish style videos with limited if any speaking, focused on very mundane scenarios like buying a fish and setting up a fish tank or brushing her teeth

her extremely simplistic yet super cute design and the nature of the videos built a huge audience of rratfags and she exploded in popularity pretty quickly

then she had a not-kickstarter which raked in like 200k USD

then she was on tv last year

it was a special long video (more like several shorts combined into a single theme) with some added bonuses

she sorta technically wasnt on tv but she was. the concept for the show was that some other vtuber who has some name like milky holmes idk has other vtubers on as guests, but tsugu didnt actually show up, instead she sent in her four most recent videos and the other chuuba commented on them and "wrote letters" back
