I don't give a shit about the 'ooo holos must remain PURE and collab WITHIN THEIR RANKS' garbage; look at HoloJP and how they have collabs, from people who are indies to other agencies all on their own, and their purity hasn't been sullied or anything stupid like that.

To keep this short and simple, Hololive is a Japanese agency and tries to run its ENs to within Japanese vtuber specs - not western ones. They are a Japanese company that hired some English speakers is all. You don't see JP Holos collabing with random Western vtubers much either, now, do you.

There is also an issue with rudeness of Westerners to invade others' chat and constantly break the Holo rules of talking about other streamers. If they do even one such collab it'll open the floodgates for a tidal wave of leeches to come invading shit all the time not just on twitter like they already do but actively in SCs and chat. Holo doesn't gain much if anything from associating with them and vtubers' schedules are limited as-is so why throw that unnecessary chaos/drama generator into the mix.

The thing is you'll find there's a lot of people who literally don't mind this. It's not fans who don't want collabs to happen.

The problem is management, instead of having obvious bans on VShojo and ex-CNs, basically cockblocked everyone from collabing with them. Even Pikamee is impossible.

There are decent EN vtubers out there, with decent viewers, who would jump on the chance to work with HoloEN, and wouldn't fuck it up. Why should they be blocked from interacting with them?

Like some people can get pissy why VShojo can't be around with the holos, but people know the reasons. It's their own damn fault. They are incompatible with hololive.

It doesn’t really matter to actual fans of hers but her being the very first EN girl to do so will likely set the benchmark for how everyone will expect future non Holo EN collabs to go. There are a bunch of things that can theoretically go wrong and the schizos enjoy doomposting and shitting at the girls at every opportunity.

Suisei does collab songs with Toko and there have been plenty of other HoloNiji and holo/indie collabs before.

So not sure what the issue is.
