Amiya - loli hag spidergirl with guitar skills and great singing voice. Loves pixel art. Loves DOS games and 16bit console games. Idol fanatic, especially Hello Project. Loves 80's music. Very gullible and falls for chat's tricks. Sweetheart to a fault.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=27WpG8SSOV4

Orla - dullahan dungeon mistress femdom, loves Suda51, Dead By Daylight, PS2 games, detective and mystery games, raising sims. Has interesting life stories. Currently transitioning to twitch as primary platform. Does great "girl talk" collabs with other members. Has full size and chibi models.
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1249864677

Urara - manager-san OL slug in constant quarter life crisis. Self-described asian Barbie looks. Wears braces you can hear. Baited her own graduation to announce opening of the company merch store. Is about to embark on a complete company rebrand project.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4rH4MpoQk4

Char - gunpla obsessed engineer gremlin and also part of management team. Has done feet streams as a community goal. Most of her content is gunpla builds. Pretty good at karaoke. Currently rarely streams due to real life issues.

I tried using https://app.inferkit.com/demo as a schizopost generator to come up with a non-canon continuation to >>14716401, anon’s incest fanfic about Urara, Char, and Yuuna.

>Urara returns, realizing it was a mistake to leave Char to raise Yuuna alone. But when she comes back, she's unable to come to terms with Char and Yuuna's incestuous relationship.
>Yuuna tries to apologize to Urara, but she immediately refuses to hear her out. Urara declares that she's a woman, not a mother, and has nothing to do with Yuuna's life.
>She never thought this could ever be her family.
>"Just because you're a daughter of a noble house, doesn't mean you're my family."
>Urara then decides to leave Char and the nobles to their fate. Yuuna doesn't understand the situation.
>How can she be angry at her daughter for something they both felt?
>But the heart has its own laws.
>And that's how Urara's story ends.

The talents suck and instead of picking up people with proven track records like Miori and Yuuna, they double down on "experimental" and pick up 4 people who've never streamed in their life.
Its fine to take a risk sometimes, but half their talents are a "risk" that really didn't pay off. Although I suspect their "risk taking" is based more on the fact that any streamer worth a damn isn't bothering to apply to them because they have next to nothing to offer to established streamers.

Also unironically lacks diversity, you have girl who does music, girl who does music, girl who does music, and guy who does music. You also have girl who does music but with a dark past.
There's no a single sexy brown girl.

The talents have this complete lack of entertainer quality to them, yes streamers are supposed to be more natural but at the same time there should be a separation between the streamer and the audience.

Also all this time later and Meru still can't run a single stream properly.

That imagery doesn't really fit the feel of a typical Tsunderia stream. Well I'm just being critical of why Tsunderia is falling behind.

The simple is that they have nothing to offer good talents and it doesn't seem like they're trying to get good talents.
And its natural because why would a talent of worth go to Tsunderia? PRISM is bigger, PC lets you be a bigger schizo, CyberLive has the best contracts.
Tsunderia has some music connections, but even being so heavily music focused over half their covers are TV sized and they put out next to no official covers, especially compared to groups like PRISM where even Aoi with her minimal followers is still putting them out regularly.

Bruh do you even watch tsun streams?
I think this is part of the branding issue that Urara is bringing up.
Right now they have:
Miori, isekai quest girl
Yuuna, medeival-ish bread god
Kallin, bat demon queen who should really live in her own little castle
Meru, pulled straight from an old german fairy tale
Orla, dullahan from scottish myth
Amiya, gothic lolita-wearing princess type
Nen, a mythic dream eater
Purin, whose new outfit is a military general
Lisa, a sheep sleep demon
Tomoya, a rabbit boy who could fit into alice in wonderland

These are all characters who could easily fit all together in a medieval/fantasy setting. The current branding lacking direction is what's not taking advantage of it.

NTA, but shouldn't branding fit what the talents are actually doing? If none of the talents are selling the whole kingdom thing, why bother keeping it? I guess you could say it's a missed opportunity, but I'm not sure if I'd love everyone in Tsunderia having to bring up kingdom related stuff to stay in character and fit the branding. It would definitely feel off.

Tsunderia was the first to really test unknown grounds in the market, which yes means people coming in later have something to observer to make their own choices
Numbers especially when low overall and over a short period of times, should be used very carefully.

For now small corpos are all spending much more than they gain anyway, it's a big risky bet on the future, while Tsunderia seems to not go as far, you can hope behind like PhseCo are doing that partly for the fun of it.

Basically all of the other agencies have their own big issues. Stuff like PRISM's pants on head management and having to wrangle with permissions are big enough cons to completely outweigh any benefits they would provide for a lot of people.
On the other hand, Tsunderia may lack those major upsides, but they also don't really have any major downsides. They're not the smallest, they don't have the most strict guidelines, they don't have the worst contracts, etc.

Definitely, see CyberLive gen2, the by far top runner Ema who already went past gen1, is the most basic bitch you find anywhere without a paticular artistic talent just doing "mommy dommy" and sexual innuendos with a deep voice, even her design is meh.
Just viral shorts void of any point and stuff, it's what brings the numbers https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Zyb3LNUUf4

Meanwhile their bestg en2 talent Chapipi is insanely good at singing, charming and know how to make light jokes, and pace her gameplays with interesting anecdotes, but is almost last at 3k vs 15k of emma and basically forgotten.

"talents of worth" are everywhere, why people decide to latch on one and not another is mostly random depending on timing, design/them, that kind of stuff
Hell most indies just apply everywhere that's available hoping for a chance, phaseCo had way over a thousand applications.

Tsunderia has experience, which honestly is a pretty big point. Too recent companies with little background to check aren't too attractive. They give much more freedom similarly to Cyberlive, When I see the restrictions of PRISM I just feel bad for the talents who didn't realize how much of a pain it would to follow restriction basially as hard as Hololive for a a ridiculous % of holo audience.
Anyway people know the main ones posted here with PhaseCo CyberLive PRISM Tsunderia Vspro, but ther are countless other smaller than those where good indies still apply, there' not that many free slots in just main ones, people apply everywhere that seems like a real corpo.

>For now small corpos are all spending much more than they gain anyway
This is a big point for me as I'm no fan of one small corpo but interesting by the ovearll phenomenon and how they're doing. It feels like small corpos tried to oen-up each other but as result your great really unsustainable things, like PRISM operating like Hololive but without the numbers for it. To compensate their contract is pretty bad for the vtuber and honesty wouldn't be surprised to see some talents quit by themselves at some point.
PhaseCo has initial rich kid funds, seem to be a bit more calculated in their spendings, most of the time but seem lacking a bit in staff
CyberLive has the best contract by far with their 15% cut or so, total freedom on most things and their gen1 got already 2~3 3D models and another very soon on the wa, you can even quit while keeping your model, for free, after some time streaming.
Tsunderia feels like there weren't so crazy in the spendings in comparison which I'm not sure is a good or bad things. Model quality was very random, incredibly understaffed and so on, because yes small corpo vtubers don't bring that much money for now.

The way I see it though is that most people going for small corps are well aware they won't be making tons of cash, they do it less for the sake of making money and more as an opportunity for the audience and choices it affords them. So I really don't think the harsher contracts are as big of a deal as people think, and I think its a good reason Tsunderia isn't as attractive.

I'll say it from my personal bias, I'd be willing to join PRISM because if I did I get to collab with lots of people, get the connections and opportunities, and they support my ventures. And most important I get the largest audience from them. I don't care if they take 60% of my donos because its more than I already get still, and more importantly its a hobby-job not a fulltime job.

But that's exactly for this same reason that I wouldn't wanna ever be in PRISM even offered right now
It's not just the money, your content is heavily opinionated, you have specific FOMO mandatory, you're forced on one plate form, to follow specific rules regarding your interaction with fans and usage of social media, much less freedom on schedules, it becomes as overbearing as a real job, for people wanting a hobby, a more lax environment like CL (hell lumi had an original song with MV before debut) or Tsunderia seems ideal, for people looking to make it a job, then PRISM or similar yes.

What they should do is make a different branch entirely and brand it differently but give it plenty of connections and shilling from the old Tsunderia girls and just let it evolve into a different thing on its own while letting Tsunderia develop the main branch. Its not like every stream is nonstop circlejerk, but its clearly there if you watch long enough. And the moments it does happen its a pretty shitty feeling. Sure they say "hi" to everyone, but then they'll go on a long tangent about things they said or did on social media that "you just had to be there" to get.

I watch an unhealthy amount of Tsunderia content yet I never interact with them on social media or D*scord and yet I still have no idea what the fuck you're on about. This is such a non-issue and I can't understand why some of you are so butthurt about the members talking to their regulars. If you want the streamer to engage with you, literally just say something in chat and it's almost certain that they will.

Trustworthiness doesn't mean someone will actually be good at their job. Pic related.

Let's not forget that Uber got big thanks to ambitious scumbags, not polite trustworthy people who pet stray puppies and tiptoe around flowers. Business is at times cutthroat and dog eat dog. If you're looking to unseat established players, you either need luck or a killer instinct. If Tsunderia doesn't have either, what exactly does a viewer like myself have to look forward to if I invest my time in watching their vtubers that I can't get somewhere else?

I've definitely seen what's described happen in general in chats, but it's not particularly in Tsunderia streams, and is mostly dependent on the streamer.
Smaller chats where a huge portion of viewers are just other vtubers can feell ike tihs, or just when a small community hasn't grown in a while and you just come to a chat where half people use nicknames only they know, bring up last WE apex games they did between them, have often talks unrelated to the stream and will strictly ignore a anything you said almost like you're in the way and ruining their fun.
But yeah not specifically tsunderia sutff

Anyone ever been a manager here? Managing women is fucking nearly impossible. Nothing is ever their fault. If you can convince them that something was their own idea, they won't do it. They always have a new excuse for repeated mistakes. Disciplining them will lead to them going above you to try and get you in trouble about 50% of the time. I sympathize with Urara on how hard it is to get the talents to do anything.

>> No.15742684

>>15742187
Exactly. They ruthlessly took every opportunity they could to overcome the competition, corner the market and establish themselves as one half of a duopoly. Then they expanded into food delivery to become a major player in that market as well. That's the kind of ambition and risk taking that leads to booming or busting, while conservatively run companies (barring government intervention, contracts or granted monopolies) oftentimes only ever get by. Especially if they don't sell/rent any sort of good, service or infrastructure.

When you're literally competing for people's time in a hypersaturated always-online marketplace from a position of irrelevance and disadvantage, it does bring up the question of whether staying the course will produce good enough results that it will offset the bleeding and put tsunderia on a positive trajectory.

If not, risk may be the only way to truly get an edge in the market. Not that I think the risk will pay off. This is just me speaking hypothetically with the best case scenario in mind.

It's similar in the sense that Japanese companies like Hololive and Nijisanji have certain complications and standards their English vtubers have to deal with while a western company is a bit more free to improvise, adapt and overcome.

That's not to say in a hypothetical scenario where Tsunderia expanded globally that their operating procedures wouldn't become more rigid and strict. However, at that point they would have already achieved their goal of succeeding as a business.
