This is because you're looking at it from a tribal perspective of Holo vs Niji.
Even if something like "The popular holos are popular" is obvious, it's interesting to study what content is popular for each member, if members are inclining/declining, what types of games are popular, debut buff duration and audience retention...etc

That's good for the girls and their numbers/SCs, but we know when it comes to "popularity", we're talking about who's more mainstream and breaking out of the niche circle.

What we've seen from Niji events is that their normie attracting ability is much stronger this year than last year, while most Holo events have seemingly hit a cap.
We haven't had a holo main POV stream hit 100k CCV yet, and Niji event VODs honestly destroy Holo event VODs.
Niji Splatoon tournament VOD has slightly more views than Miko's POV in the Holo sports fes, and that's their 3rd most successful tournament this year. (Both 1.5 mil) Koshien and Niji Mario kart are close to 3 mil.

Globally, of course, it's no contest that Hololive is more popular, but Japan makes up most of the vtuber watching audience.

Well, the real answer is the nose. Usually redjuice draws the nose lower and with a top-down lite and it looks fairly appealing. However, this time he decided to draw it in the middle of the face and with this side lighting for some strange reason. I have no idea why. But it basically can't be fixed unless they redraw and re-rig her face.
Honestly, redjuice is an amazing artist and a perfect choice for a 3d-focused chuuba. Irys's 3d model should look pretty impressive, but you can't deny that he fucked up her life 2d and it's a massive debuff.
