To prove this wrong even though I may have made this table a month too late after the Pokemon bloom I have taken the past 20 streams done by Holos and compiled them into a table. I've also included singing and Marikart streams as additional reference.
Holos with very inconsistent streaming schedules like Aqua are excluded.
Here's the takeaway: while there's no Minecraft or Pokemon trend happening as of now, if you think that Holos play nothing but the same crap everyday you'll just have to watch better Holos.

People who say they do nothing but MC are just faggots talking out their ass. Only a few Holos were ever consistent Holo streamers, Miko, Watame and Pekora basically and Peko plays it like.. once a week if that nowadays. Most "MC" holos play it once or twice a week. Amongst like 5 other streams. Wow it's 20% is LITERALLY 100% now and it's not like there's some reason they play it like "oh it gets them literally fucking double the views of anything else they do."

You results are skewed by the fact that certain singing streams are generally unarchived, EN's in particular. The 0s for EN's Uta collumn are almost all wrong, for example.

Oh right, I forgot about EN's unarchived. Well that aspect should be ignored for the most part due to it being inaccurate

Further upon conducting research upon the competition (NijiEN) I found that only Elira (15%), Pomu (20%) and Luca (10%) had significant amounts of Pokemon or Minecraft content. I would not be surprised if Minecraft or Pokemon content only made 5 to 2% of all NijiEN content.

NijiEN does have a bit more variety to choose from, the one that comes in mind immediately is Mihoyo stuff among others
Don't think they dedicate a lot to MC as well so no surprise there

It's reductive to say that but their point isn't that. Just add zatsudans, gachas and shill streams to the total and you will see how there's a severe lack of variety and new games they play.
If it's not just these games it's other games everyone played to death, being horror kusoges, or slither.io or phasmophobia or Clubhouse 51 or similars.
The feeling you get if you follow multiple Holos is that they barely get into new grounds, they only follow what 10 others played before or whatever the trend was a month ago.

This argument would have more validity if people who actually watch Holos weren't aware as to why their options are limited and why management is strict with what is and isn't permitted. All we're left with once that's factored in are newfags, casuals and shitposters, none of whom have opionions worth a damn.

It's a bad look on their fans or people that don't watch others. I have plenty of options for this to not be a problem for me. When ever I'd browse the catalog previously it was always complaints about current Hololive streams. From Minecraft and transitioning into Pokémon.

>> No.15706992

Its a bad look no matter what regardless of company or chuubas you watch needlessly bitching cause people want views and money and chase the cash cow content is maximum autismo behavior and anyone is free to watch who and what they want regardless of said bitching

>> No.15707102

>>15688964
if you wanna watch "genuine gaming streams" vtubers are obviously not for you . just watch high skilled players or those who play games you like. mc is pretty much zatsudan for the most part and most of those pokemon streams of holo jp are taikyu/耐久 stuff like in english a trial and error thing. though its the same shit as watching someones jump king dlc stream or sekiro no damage challenge stream on twitch.

>> No.15707368

>>15690851
NijiEN also has a shitty janky shared world for MC for their ENs. Anyone else they run into is going to be a NijiID and let's not pretend more than like 20 of the viewers really-really know those because they're total whos overall. Compare that to interacting with famous mil+ sub Holos that have like 20% foreign viewership and it's not hard to see why HoloENs defintely made sure it's a thing they do.

I think one's perception of that depends largely on bias. Firstly, there are 'arcs' where 5+ holos (sometimes 20) play the same game over the course of a week, sometimes several times. But it's not just 3 games where this happens. This year alone we had:
>Undertale
>Pokemon Unite
>Henry Stickman
>APEX
>Passpartout
>Kuukiyomi
>GTA 5
>Fall Guys
>It takes two
>Among Us
>DDLC
>Jump King
>DbD
played by at least 5 different Holos across. Some of these games are slow burners played before and after this year, some of those were done with after 2 months with few or no other holos picking them up.
Minecraft specifically has the honour of being the eternal Zatsudan game and having so ridiculously many arcs (HoloEN server build up, oompa loompa breeding, Council spontaneous collabs and server merge preparation and JPs either exploring it on their own or collabing with EN) and that's what most people remember especially when it comes to Holos they barely watch.
But there are also many games (f.e. FNF, Superliminal, 12 Minutes, Small Ame, SSMB, Rimworld, the distinction to the games mentioned above may be arbitrary) which are picked up across several branches, but not by many people and then mostly forgotten.
The simple truth is, Holos need to regularly start new games for content. They will look at what other Holos played before since permissions are usually still available and they can watch the stream to know what the viewer and the player experience will be like. IRyS Terraria stream is direct evidence of that. In spite of all that there are plenty of games which are wt the very least passable but 2 which only 1 or maybe 2 holos picked up so far.

kill yourself, I will bitch about them playing the same games and you can't do anything to stop me.
