How much time did you used to anime a week before the advent of Vtubers?
And how is it as of now?
Are you gonna continue watching anime girls who don't respond to you?

>> No.1554759

how is this a serious question?

Anime and v-tubers are not the same thing and do not replace each other.

It's not going to eradicate anime, but it's going to displace certain genres. CGDCT, for example, is made superfluous by the existence of vtubers. This is because
1.) An ensemble of Vtubers can be produced far more cheaply than a single CGDCT anime.
2.) Vtubers offer the pretense/illusion of interaction with the audience, whereas CGDCT does not and cannot.
3.) Whereas characters in CGDCT are pieces in a story, Vtubers are "real" people.
Whether this is a good thing or not is a different matter from whether it will happen, which I guarantee you it will.

This comes off as someone who doesn't like CGDCT because you clearly don't understand the purpose of it. You can seethe all you want but the genre is not going anywhere. Back to /a/, trash.

No. Vtubers will always be niche unlike anime which is now normie tier.

I thought about this, anime is a weird place because i think a lot of the hardcore fanbase like otaku aren't into anime as much as they are into cute girls helping their escapism, and vtubers are an enhanced form of that. This all eventually leads to ai anime gfs, i think that's the final goal. What better escapism than an actual anime gf thats talks back to you, maybe she even has an android body and you cuddle with her and stuff.

>> No.1554972

>>1554859
CGDCT is one of the most escapism driven genres out there, only competition may he self insert driven romcoms. But CGDCT will become a lesser form of what vtubers provide, which is a sense of familiarity with a women that the viewer feels safe with, in this case the viewer being otaku who spend all their cash on merchandise.

Nah, even into my mid 20s I would catch at least one, and I've never been a neet. It's just now the industry has completely given up on anime originals, everything is manga/novel advertisement that is intentionally left unfinished for jewish reasons. At least bleach is coming back so I can watch that disaster of a final arc in motion

So which Vtuber can replace it then?
Checkmate

>now the industry has completely given up on anime
That's the point.
While anime is an industry which involves a bunch of people and massive resources, you need only
>hosting server
>tech staffs who often fail
>a young artist seeking recognition in pixiv and so on
>some apps
>a broken girl you can pick nearby orphanage
when you're gonna launch your Vtuber business.
I mean, it's a way more effective means to fulfill people's escapism. It doesn't churn the economy while making its profit out of the society.
The internet is making us regress into our primitive age. You don't need a legion to create your empire. You can be a myth if only you're a giant with a big stick. We need to ostracize Vs out of our society.

Anyone got a clip of that one time Ina mentioned how she doesn't really watch anime anymore because vtubers eat up the time instead? I've never seen chat move faster in my life, not even during karaoke streams with over 100k viewers. I swear, damn near everyone watching that stream all typed "same" in chat at almost the exact same instant.

Realistically; though, anime is totally gentrified by normies at this point. I'd think that more niche weebshit like slice of life and cgdct will see some decline, but anime as a whole will be fine and even those genres aren't going anywhere fast. Moreover, vtuber animes will become more common as well. Hololive alternative is just the beginning.

Anime was the only entertainment industry that did not get a growth bump when the memeflu hit the world
Meanwhile vtchubas only became huge because every one was at their homes doing nothing but wasting time on yt
Anime is going to become more and more niche in the next few years and I don't see how it can recover now that we have vtubers as a main competitor
