I prefer Booth/Buyee over Geekjack. Geek takes so much longer to get, however they do include shipping costs in the final price, meanwhile booth/buyee make you pay for shipping later, and if you forget they'll charge you storage fees.

Use Tenso or some other forwarding service. Geekjack will sit with your merch for months before shipping it unless you email them asking what the hold up is. You're going to be paying a premium for shipping no matter what.

Just use tenso. It's cheaper than buyee. With buyee you are paying for someone to buy something for you, when you can just buy the shit yourself with a credit card or paypal depending on the site. The "add to cart on buyee" buttons on booth are a distraction and you are paying more money for no reason.

I live in Canada and I've paid about $20-40 CAD for shipping per item, regardless of where I buy it from.

Geekjack doesn't even send to Canada thanks to Japan Post being absolute fucking faggots. I have shit ordered from Dec 2020 that hasn't shipped and who knows if or when I'll get my hands on it. About $20 for shipping

I bought the Aqua 1/7 scale from Amiami. Also about $20 shipping plus another 18 bucks for customs.

I've preordered everything holo related that Goodsmile is releasing - nendoroids, figmas, the Marine 1/7 scale; all of them around $20/¥1800 shipping each - a standard price it seems. This is across Amiami, Goodsmile US shop and Goodsmile Intl shop.

I bought some goods from booth via Buyee. I paid $8 to ship to their warehouse and another $20 to ship from their warehouse to Canada. This was for a ¥1,400 keychain from Ina's anniversary. That's almost $50 for a $15 keychain.

I pre-ordered the Korone 1/7 scale from spiritfare via Zenmarket. Paid ¥550 to get it shipped to their warehouse. I expect to pay an extra $20-$40 for shipping + $22 for customs


So yea, shipping costs will suck. Ultimately, the cost is about the same or less than buying these things from a local reseller. We'll end up paying the shipping fees one way or another.
