Shouldn't she be very active and trying to carry on Coco's legacy? Coco gave her life for hers after all.

>> No.15472734

>>15470389
To be honest it probably would have all blown over quicker if Coco didn’t say anything, so technically no, but her heart was in the right place. The majority of the blame still falls on obsessed antis who weaponize nationalism so they can throw tantrums over vtubers they don’t like.

its justice that the only good CN girl managed to have the most successful reincarnation

Well, the unfortunate (probably) truth is that BB was out for blood with Hololive. They didn't like the fact that a foreign company had so much influence and either wanted Cover to kneel or be damaged enough that they'd be weakened and no longer able to compete. Given how posts that were trying to explain the situation were immediately deleted but inflammatory messages and rallying cries were left up, the timing of Asoul's debuts, and how the HoloCN branch released a message without consulting with Cover HQ, leads me to believe that the standard bug corpo ops were in play and went off 'mostly' without a hitch. I don't think they expected Cover to so cleanly and quickly dump the CN branch though, but BB still benefited since they no longer had to deal with Hololive having so much influence on their entertainment scene.
Like, I don't think people realize just how utterly corrupt and morally bankrupt some of these Chinese subsidiaries can be when they talk about this sorta shit.

I believe it. Tencent was also pulling tons of shit against Mihoyo cause of Genshin.
China is the most dirty capitalist communist country I’ve ever seen.

I think he’s referring to supposed incidents of anti’s getting caught with VPNs and not just their social credit scores getting docked, but also their parents.

>> No.15473267

Dunno what that anon is specifically referring to, but I always loved that watamates signed a chink pretending to be Ollie during her debut for tricking watame into replying
In general probably the chinks getting caught with vpns to go beyond the great firewall of china

Kizuna Ai clones, obviously.

In terms of size I would vote for the Youtube chat yab, but I don't remember who specifically did that one. I think it was multiple events compounding actually. But because of that one, all Japanese vtubers who dual stream to Youtube and Bilibili need to block their chat on the screen so the chinese can't see any freedom text. That's the only one I can really think of that effected vtubers as a whole rather than just a specific company or group.

The Kizuna Ai yab also set a precedent that when a talent retires, the vtuber goes down too, and has been the standard practice ever since.

i mean that the seiyuu is the soul of the vtuber and cannot be seperated and replaced.

>> No.15476500

Only doomposters and actual retards believed Kizuna Ai was retiring, what set the precedent about actors being replaced is the Gamebu, the company behind them doesn't even exist anymore.
