I still remember watching this live and it was honestly pretty enjoyable. It helps that's she's really good at it too and has a different artstyle to someone like Ina. But unfortunately Sana doesn't seem to quite understand that this is what will help gather her an audience and for whatever reason neglects it. Her design and accent is ultimately subject to opinion. But not playing to your strengths is a true debuff.

Eh, say whatever you want about Ina, but Sana's case is a simple example of everything going wrong. Her design is bad at least in terms of color usage, she has a heavy accent and her long break (I'm not blaming her for this) made her plummet like crazy. The one thing I blame on her is her autism over not doing art streams when that'd one of her strongest points.

Been watching streamers for over 10 years. Mostly gamers, although a few other stuff here and there. In general, I always found IRL streams trash (except maybe the poseidon era when it was entertaining but also trashy). Hololive definitely produce good content.

Sana likely got in thanks to her connection with Ina and her talent at making art and she isn't even promoting it. She's literally kneecapping herself since her design is awkward to look at (her character designer is a god-tier artist but made a shitty design this time), her voice isn't anything special, and her accent can be difficult for ESLs to understand. Sana already has some leeway being in Hololive with guarantees you at least 4k viewers no matter what. However, every big streamer that transitioned to doing "what they want" as a streamer had to grind something that they were good at and gain a loyal following before it was safe to transition to other types of streams. Even as a Hololmem it's dangerous to not play to your strengths so early on in your streaming career.
