ah in regards to stagnating (at least in my case i can't speak for anyone else)
i know that October was a bad month for me streamwise. I didn't do it very much, had a very inconsistent schedule, and life stuff was making my mood probably not great for it in general. this December i have been streaming a little more consistently, which i think has been helping quite a bit. my numbers might also been inflated this month because i got some good raids the past few weeks which i am grateful for but it can make it hard to tell if it's actually an incline or a momentary boost. i wouldn't mind getting a review/manager look over my streams to tell me what i might be doing wrong/bad or what i need to improve on, but i felt like i should say that more streaming + hefty raids have been a thing that i got this month and felt i should specify for my incline maybe

Honestly that's something I feel like I need to give more thought on, I kinda just started vtubing on an impulse and continued doing it because it's fun! Ah but if only I had a couple hours a day! Comic prep takes time, and my KFP shifts do really eat up the day. Though that's not a great excuse cause really there's always time if I try make it. I guess what's stopping me is not really knowing how to get better, there was one month where I tried to follow the pastebin but I felt overwhelmed even after reading some of the books. Like I tried some of the exercises in it but I couldn't even tell if I was doing them right or not. I feel like if I was to improve my singing I'd need a teacher and well that costs money.

In absence of a teacher, I would recommend practicing in front of a mirror and videotaping yourself so you can review and see if you're doing things correctly. Online resources for singing are difficult to use for the reasons you cited, and there's actual risk of damaging your voice if you're learning bad habits unknowingly. So if you're not sure if you can match pitch correctly, what you could do is have someone else confirm for you. That can be done asynchronously (you record yourself, send it off, get feedback), but real-time coaching, even over a Discord call or something, works well. So for example, one person sings a pitch, you sing it back, and they can correct you up or down until you're matching. A sense of pitch can be trained, and singing is fundamentally a mechanical skill.

You could try something like this video, play a note on a keyboard (you can use an online keyboard for this), sing it, and record yourself doing it. If you can't tell if you're singing the right note, the first step would be to work on your pitch matching ability, which is your ability to sing in tune. If you're not sure if you're doing it right, you can record yourself and send it off to someone, and they can work with you to help dial in your ear.

For New Years Eve, my IRL friend group imploded, so I'm streaming as I normally would. Staying true to my roots and playing the second part of the campaign from an old(ish) strategy game.

Announcements or anything, no major ones. I'm just going to be looking to take streaming a bit more seriously, and actually taking steps to improve things. I've been doing my reps, but I need to do more than just grind.

getting more into vtubers has definitely been a net positive on my life this last year considering it's helped fill a void, let me meet a lot of new people, pick up new hobbies, even indirectly make some life changes in the process. I guess these are all things that would have happened regardless of which community I'd fallen into with how things were at the end of last year but I'm glad it was this one.
Can't say I have any goals for next year, I prefer thinking of things day by day rather than year by year and all that.
I don't really have any particular ideas off the top of my head but I always prefer when people get more practical outfits rather than something they'll only use once and then shelve for months at a time or outright abandon outside of point redeems. Difference between an outfit and a costume, I guess?

Vtubing has absolutely been a net positive on my year. It's been a wonderful creative outlet for me, and a way to share things I'm passionate about with people who may not know about them, and seeing people take an interest in new things fills me with joy. I'm also really blown away by the number of talented, creative, kind people in the vtubing community. So those things together with the amount of plain, good old fashioned fun I've had while streaming make it a clear net positive for me.

For the coming year, I'd like to see if I can get a little more professional in my presentation while maintaining a healthy balance between online and offline life. I don't want one thing to flourish at the expense of another. I'd like to watch more streams if I can, because there are so many people doing really entertaining, creative things.

I would love to see alternate outfits for Woozle, but I'm not sure what to dress up a circus ferret as. I think little ferret outfits would be very cute.

it's been a great outlet for my less-used hobbies. hobbies where I build physical things are easy to take on because you can show results to friends, but getting involved here has let me explore stuff like editing/animation/etc that i've mostly kept on the back burner since becoming an adult, and only really used when I needed money. streamers and viewers here have been really supportive of what little I've made, and have given me an outlet to show support for creators I like and a soapbox to show off things I make. it's given me a reason to try things out that I wouldn't have gotten around to otherwise, and it's been a lot of fun. I've met some amazing people, and I feel like I'm becoming less cynical because of it.

Hmm, favorite hobby or interest... I did pick up reading again! Before vtubing, I could never get through a book or story before I put it back down. But vtubing really revitalized my love for reading and sharing what I enjoy with others. So I am very thankful for that. Singing and reading are my favorite rediscoveries this year.

Not the original anon but for me, I try to multi-track drift where I can, though ultimately I tend to let life slip, namely my sleep. Things like watching shows or chuubas can be done in the background with other things, or in my case I watch some chuubas while working since I'm blessed with a remote desk job.
Multi-track drifting certainly isn't for everyone or everything, though. The best trick would be to improve your ability to switch focuses without having to wind back up each time you switch. That's something I had issues with for some time.

Vtubing has been a fantastic outlet. Even if its just to a few people, i've found i really enjoy just hanging with a audience. I've also met some great people in the community.

I want to relearn how to play the bass, as well as make a set up so I can stream my mini painting.
