Big thanks to anyone who came by for my first ever Mario 64 16 star run! I managed to clear it in just under an hour twenty, which considering I've literally never tried it before, I'm happy with. I also ranted about the trombone and music for like a solid hour in the middle there, which brought me much joy. Not really a speedrun, but it was a blast, and makes me want to actually try speedrunning.

I really like her model, but it has that "everything but the kitchen sink" feel to it where things start to lose aesthetical synergy. Too much glowy stuff everywhere for instance, it just mucks things up, the glowing tongue looks like she has food in her mouth too.

Other than that the shaders really nicely accentuate the plump facial structure, which doesnt make it look weird, which is really easy to mess up with anime shapes.

Council was mostly picked for their big NUMBERS or Nepotism. Which means most vtubers here wont be picked unless they decide to change things around this time. The result is that Council became a huge dud since big numbers doesnt mean that they're entertaining. In comparison HoloX were all talented and went through a strict audition process, they worked hard to get into Hololive and they're doing a lot of streams now in Hololive because they're grateful to be there.

You can try to apply but unless they changed their recruiter or talent scout for EN, im sure gen 3 will be another dud too. Vtubers outside of Hololive are all growing now and now beginning to reach the mainstream streaming audience too so we'll see more successful vtubers from indie backgrounds.

Its somewhat ergonomic. I doubt it has anything to do with posting vs not posting. A lot of chuubs are stagnate, both big and small. You won't always be growing unless you're just extremely fucking good or lucky and a lot. Nemu is "Stagnate" except she's stagnate at 800-900 viewers, yet still has streams where she dips to 600 or lerss.

The problem is specifically 4chan. These chuubas stagnate because they're getting attention from the 4chan circlejerk and end up only marketing themselves to 4chan. They don't do outside networking reps because they already have active discussion here and in the back office. They don't care about "making it big" because they have the attention they've been craving.

Stagnating only matters if you're under partner numbers when it comes to this discussion. It doesn't make sense to compare 800 view chuubas with those who can barely hit 20.

There was a point where I was clipping at least once a week and while it would sometimes result in new followers it didn't seem to result in new viewers. I haven't clipped as much recently due to the holidays being a lot busier

Essentially. There are several CCV walls. 10, 20, 30, 50, 75, 100, 150, 200, 300, 500, 800, 1k, and so forth. Very often streamers get stuck at a certain wall, which can be as low as 10 or as high as 300. Nina for example breached 300, but will probably be a while before she can regularly get 500 CCV reliably. That doesn't mean she's stagnating. Alfhilde has been at around 200-300 for a good several months now. I don't think she's stagnating either. Around 20-30 is a very common number to be stuck on for a bit, and it has nothing to do with selfposting.

Of course I always encourage chuubas to try and attract viewers from outside, but posting here is not some kind of debuff or curse like anon is making it sound like.

That's the only difference. non/here/ chuubas do poorly as well and like others have said the only reason most /here/ chuubas do so well is because 80% of their "audience" is just other chuubas and the same dozen or so /here/ viewers.

You know, I've recently noticed that the "viewers are mostly other vtubers" argument seems to apply more to those that already have a sizeable viewership of their own rather than smaller ones. Arypie, Shimada, Kongou, Moriko, Koragi, Mint, Nina, and so on often have very active vtuber chatters, but also plenty of their own viewers. Kotomi, Zet, woozle, and a number of others usually do not.

Might have to wait until Wednesday when everyone is streaming at the same time to have a better comparison. It's just an argument that is thrown a lot but I haven't seen proven or disproven before.

Check, I used to do a clip on twitter for every stream for my "thanks for coming" posts, I don't do them anymore but I still upload clips fairly regularly for my YT. Subtitles and minor sfx.

Check, I've been in the habit of making small bits and skits recently. I like to show them off on stream as part of the experience but they work nicely on YT as alt uploads to vods/clips. Had a nice one where I sang an Animaniacs bit based on a point redeem.

That said I'm not gonna make it anyway, I'm bad at networking, kinda boring and m*le. I think most of my 5 or so regular viewers aren't /here/ though so I have that going for me kek.
