I think ID shows that it takes more than just being able to speak english. Since they speak english at least half the time and have less subs than JP. So there is more than just speaking the language. All those learning english streams won't amount to much.

I think the low ID popularity is twofold.
1) EOPs hate hearing someone speak with an accent because they are retarded EOPs and when they hear another language their brain processes it as gibberish, therefore ESL speakers sound like 50% gibberish to their retarded EOP brain.
2) Popular vtubers pander to zoomer coomers. This is evident by the fact that Ollie grew in popularity so fast as she's constantly getting into racy situations and sexually harasses the others. Moona has big numbers because the Minecraft arc brought her to the forefront and is basically the face of HoloID. Risu panders to coomers, but since her accent is heavy refer to point 1. Iofi has a heavy accent as well, so point 1. Reine discourages coomers but she speaks English well, so she's not as heavily affected by point 1, but she does lose to point 2. Anya has an accent AND discourages coomers therefore she gets the double whammy of low subs.

The ID label itself is the issue. At least from personal experience I never gave any of them a chance because I was expecting not being able to understand anything like JP but also having to listion to their disgusting language on top of it.
