No. At least not in the sense that it shatters the GFE and makes the goslings run away. Its more like the collabs might be shit which is basically a wasted stream. If the collab is good then I dont see a problem.

I always thought it wasnt a good idea. But I got told to stop being a bitch and that every chuuba has to deal with shit chat sooner or later and mod it properly. And I cant disagree with that.
As far as previous examples go, the L***/A**** ad did pretty much nothing. Like actually nothing. The ad-anon one showed pretty decent results for a low cost. I am still worried about the new one, but the big 4chin boogieman is vastly overstated. Going outside of the site to specifically shitpost something is over a decade old, no one ever does that. Especially not for an ad which most have hidden anyways. Also I would say infact that the average 4ch poster is behaving vastly better than the ones from other communities while outside the site. Excluding the "not your secret club xDDD" retards

Yes. First and foremost the most important thing is to get noticed in this massive flood of data. TikTok is an avenue to get a lot of views and should be treated as such. Strangle the algorithm wherever you go.

Personal discords help you engage with your community and form a better one and this isn't even limited to vtubing.

Collabs are the reason a lot of smaller people got big.

Friends are part of the reason Iron Mouse, Silvervale, Taiga, Veiibae, etc are as popular as they are. They got big off of other people helping them out and wanting to support them through raids, shoutout, collabs, etc.

Sure, here's the date range that ads were effective. You can see that our views increased significantly but many of these views are just temporary as expected. You can see that our views following the ad campaign increased a bit which was my goal with the ads for which I'm happy. i've talked about it before one of the sites i manage went viral on ticktock so it got flooded with non-donating children who flood the chats talking about naruto and attack on titan to the extent the site was unusable for regular long term users
ticktock kids are leeches but they force out all the non-leeches who don't want to put up with
the site i manage is a community funded self-hosted vod-site so the options are shut down or eat the costs, while youtube or twitch cover the server costs for you, everything about the quality and sustainability of your community is still out of your hands and trying to appeal to less desirable audiences to up your numbers for an ego boost is like trapping wasps in your car so you can brag about how many are in your car while nobody else wants to carpool and give you coffee/gas money
i might not be an expert on cultivating audiences but once those wasps start to build a nest without you noticing it's fucking over bros

comcast scrub here, in many places of the US, the ISPs have de facto monopoly. comcast is the only service provider in my area that actually provides enough upload for streaming. i have no city provided service, and the only competition is AT&T that only offers a basic package that's like 50 down and 2 up.

6- why indeed? I just wanted to give people an excuse to bump the thread. I found myself looking for old posts to reply to when goes full dead for hours and I noticed I replied the most to old questions, so figured out I could provide those myself, and it sort of worked.
It isn't that much effort to be honest and I can do a full day of replies in less than 30 minutes, while trying to keep it alive via reading and bumping takes much more.
As for the reasons I want to keep it alive they are rather simple: I think it helps promote our boys and our girls, as well as it helps the indie scene in general, even if a little bit.
