Depends a bit on whether you have enough of a following to really get a community going, keep in mind it's likely to be a timesink. For larger chuubas it can help with viewer retention and it lets you do stuff like watchalongs, smaller ones its still a chance to engage but plenty get by fine without one.

1- /wvt/ is a circlejerk. both the front and back desk. the ones who anons got exposed to early got cemented as the core chuubas and new ones are rejected unless they fit some schizo niche like Vampoyo and Kaori Lupine.
2- it gets harder and harder to break out into the chuuba world. the barrier to entry is already high with model and hardware costs but corpos are already flooding the market with chuubas diluting the number of eyeballs already. since last year we now have 50+ dedicated english corpo chuubas.
