While Huke papa deserves a lot of credit, I feel like Kiara had a very strong hang in the outfits design. It'll be interesting to hear who pushed for what aspects. Like I could see Huke pushing for a mask while Kiara was unsure, or her wanting to copy some tv show. It makes me want them to do a 2.0 version of the default, Flare's was extremely cute.

Ayame streams are rare so people tune in to catch them. Meanwhile with Kiara you know there will almost always be a stream and often a long one at that. Unless you are a super fan there is little reason to warp your day around her streams.
Also some people are way too obsessed with CCV to define "success". Kiara has already beat Ayame in SCs and especially in total views after being active only a third as long. Since Ayame's streams are so irregular she also gets less opportunity for shill streams. Meanwhile Kiara was the Tales of Ambassador (to the west) and she is still happy about that.
Ayame's merch might sell better but it's unlikely to make up for the ever widening gap between them.
So stop being so mad and just enjoy the show.

My avian empress, I am so proud of her. Sad Sparks was soooo good and she really sang it well considering she often does upbeat tunes. And I also think it's so on brand for Kiara to name the song Sad Sparks and then unironically sing it in the most serious way. All really goes to show how much work she put into it. I'm very glad Kiara went with the red dress, the white one looks nice but we already have a dominantly white outfit and the orange parts are way too bright, even brighter than the OG outfit imo. A bit sad about the hair choice, though, while the current one is also beautiful, both braided and assymetrical hairstyles are top tier.

Why doesn't cover do more color changes for outfits? It's easily done on most live2d since you can change the "texture" while keeping the base rigging tons of Indies do this already like I watch a clown who made a mime version of herself by taking her outfit and making it black and white.
