Son of Hot Cheetoh can work as a levitating Steel buster. Though without Baton Pass he can't share his power from Power Up punch. There's probably better Steel busters with Sp. Atk instead of Attack than Infernape.

Another note about Infernape is that he's got identical base Attack and Sp. Attack. On one hand that makes him an ideal mixed attacker with physical Fighting and special Fire moves. On the other hand if you want to min/max Attack or Special then you have to give up the best moves in one type or the other. Fire's best moves are special while Fighting's best moves are physical. If you want to be a Steel buster then you have to go special because Steel-types generally have higher Defense than Sp. Defense. Back before Fairy exists Fighting is useful for breaking Normal types and Dark-types. Then you use Flare Blitz for the ocassional Grass-type. Since Fairy and Psychic is going to be prominent then Infernape's going to be a natural type disadvantage. You could give Infernape utility with Brick Break and Stealth Rock. Stealth Rock could be useful if Sana has no other Stealth Rock user.

So Taunt, Brick Break, Flare Blitz, and Stealth Rock seem to be decent options for some utility. Infernape leans better for physical moves for utility and type coverage than special. If going for utility then Jolly is good (+Attack -Sp. Atk). Otherwise Infernape can be a physical sweeper with Adamant if set up with a Baton Pass for attack and speed. Set-ups seem like a risk in later games though. Having a Pokemon with Rapid Spin would be good against Stealth Rock and Poison Spikes. Though I read Defog works to remove spikes and terrain as well.

I think the only thing holding her back from endurance streaming Metroid like she did most other games, is just being especially unsure how many hours it will take her to progress. Pokemon/Crossing/Minecraft/Drawing/etc. seem to be the kinds of things she doesn't mind spending 7+ hours on and still not finishing by the end. when Sana could see finish line in Celeste that's when she grinded it out, and she already knew she could get through Kirby in a day.

Sana's appeal (for me at least) is that she just wants to have fun while streaming, she even mentioned this during the last stream when asked for her goals during the audition
These days I just watch holos who stream because they like what they're doing, instead of forcing themselves to do it for the content

To me, part of making a game polished at all is the refinement of its gameplay past a mediocre standard, at least in cases where gameplay is considered a focus. It's one of the things that still makes Super Metroid such a genre staple, even next to its sequels and its cousin SOTN. It stuck to some basic core tenets and delivered, with no need for much extra fluff.

I'm not even sure the term "shallow" is something I would freely use until the recent gens, where we now actually do have games that are basically movies with mild interactivity and little challenge. Things like the Artful Escape that Sana played, for example. Even newer Mario games aren't on that game's level of overt simplicity.
