Because a lot people were interested in her in the context of the interactions she was having with their oshi, or even just the Holo ecosystem at large. She was never a huge number monster on a generic stream, though she made up for that by having a lot of special events. Now that she's been largely cut off from that, even if she does roommate collabs, she has to sink or swim on the strength of her content alone because as the previous anon mentioned, her collab partners aren't nearly as strong nor is there a tight bond, and as it turns out, she's a good but not great streamer in a fucking sea of those.

Even then, Gura basically established early on that her SC culture would be "If I get time to read them at the end I'll do it once in a while, and if I see an interesting message I can respond to during stream I'll read it". Superchat reading streams don't exist for Gura, and her post-game 'SC readings' are half-storytime tangents where she won't even get to all the SC anyways.
From the perspective of 'I want the person I SC to read and recognize it!' You're far better off SCing Mori, Kiara, Sana or any of the NijiEN girls since they'll ACTUALLY read your message.
