Vshoujo got in bed with anitubers to leech off them and try to siphon off viewers. This is the gamble they knowingly chose to bet on. And instead of handling things privately in a professional manner where they made it clear that they'd no longer be associating with him publicly, they threw a public tantrum and misblamed him for their own company's incompetence.

Other companies can do as they wish and collab with whoever they want, so long as they accept and take responsibility for the potential consequences.

However, Hololive has far less right to protest after those multiple Trash Taste and Shadowverse collabs. At a certain point, an anituber is an anituber is an anituber, and chimkin just looks bad for blocking Nux right before playing card games with Woke Aqua. At that point it's not about gatekeeping so much as there's a club and he wasn't in it. holo's leashes are too tight for their management to let Nux near them and NijiEN would gang up on Nux and eat him alive. VShojo got caught with their asses hanging out because Nyan overreacted to a troll and Silver is the only one who has an overprotective pack mentality (and was the only one who never kneeled) because most of them were originally indies.
