I'll preface this by saying that I'm heavily biased because a night stream would shift her streams from "unwatchable except on weekends" to "golden timeslot if late at night (starting around midnight)".
However, the night timeslot is hopelessly crowded in JP. However, the reason she'd want to move it (having difficulties getting up) is the reason why that timeslot's population is everyone in the first place. She's stuck picking one of the options and both have downsides.

Mentally stronger is the exact wrong interpretation I'd take from this. Rushia views streams as a mental break. Other Hololive streamers have expressed this same point of view, Okayu just said the same thing recently. For example, have you ever gone out with your friends while feeling a little worried or negative and had fun with them and that made you forget your problems and feel good while out? I know I have. It's like that. If Rushia gets into it, she feels good. She feels happy and loved and all sorts of warm fuzzy emotions. But if she feels too negative, she physically cannot slide into the headspace necessary to even begin that process.
Negative emotions come in waves. If Rushia catches herself and starts to stream when her negativity is manageable, she can ride the high of the stream to put off the negativity for a while. If she doesn't stream, those waves keep coming and slamming into her over and over and over again. Rushia simply doesn't have anything else in her life that holds off that neuroticism as well as streaming. It is her hobby and her addiction and her emotional validation and so on.

The problem is that this cuts very close to a circular reasoning kind of thing, and oftentimes when you have to justify something with circular reasoning it feels like cope. Which is fine to say but hard to believe internally.

We establish connections between our behavior and things others do. I think that while they do realize that those people don't care as much as their real fans, there is still some degree of insecurity when a new Gen pops up, as the Neporabo four had mentioned when holoMyth debuted. When you compound that with a barrage of insensitive people popping up during egosa, and other stress sources that we don't know about, a random thing can easily be the trigger that breaks someone down. It isn't *just* people changing oshis, it's that plus every other shitty thing they have to go through.

It's like with Rushia's neck thing, she can handle it fairly well and even laugh about it now, but the first time around she was probably in a mentally weaker state.
