False. I was watching indie streaming vtubers before I found Hololive or knew what the word "vtuber" meant, I was just searching for Japanese streamers to watch. But I am forever thankful for her leading the way to the best Vtuber agency of which my oshi is part of, who would've remained a 2 view I never would've found without Sora leading to all of this.

I think I knew who he's talking about. IIRC they were people with fingers in japan's vtubers scene, including but not limited to Cover itself.

How much influence they have? Well, I read one of the rrat on our easter counterpart during the taiwan incident. So basically, after coco's and haachama's temporary ban didn't work to quell the fire, their next response was to actually fire coco immediately. Only, sora behind the scene said something along the line she didn't want coco to be fired from this because it'd make her sad, and she didn't want cover to become that kind of company.

You all know what happened next. Cover pulled an 180 and instead of graduating coco, they cut off holocn and pulled back from china entirely.

This is one of the reasons why hologirls are scared to step out of line even a little bit whenever they're in Sora's general vicinity. She might be one of the sweetest people you can find on the planet, but the shadows that looms over her back are immense, and they can find themselves booted out of hololive if they even make a single wrong step around her.
