So, there are a few things that likely jacked up the price for GI
-Music
-Voice acting (from well known VAs)
-Advertising
-Visual assets
Of these, Cover can save on the first three due to well, having a roster of chubbas that can do the first 3. Yes of course you compensate them but the fact that they're already on payroll means you get to cut on costs. (GI music is damn good, but hiring a full team of musicians isn't cheap, especially if you want good ones)
It's not impossible to get a good product over 3 years of they invest a few mil over that period of time.
So, I won't say it's impossible, but it's going to be a hard road ahead.

Suisei is probably one of the clearest cut examples of the power of platform and a brand. You can see the free viewers when she joined INNK in May 2019, then in August a bump from being allowed to show off at a Holo Project Winter collab, then in November Mario Kart Tournament plus joining Hololive, then Holofes 1 in December and that karaoke collab in early January. But the real deal is her 3D debut in March, that was when all Hololive viewers were funneled to her channel. I kind of wonder if going up against Nijifes might have actually helped people check out what Hololive was doing at the same time, Toko (unsurprisingly) and Touya (a bit more surprisingly) were also tweeting about her instead of watching Nijifes.

People who bring this up obviously don't realize anything about the implications of this collab between EN branches. HoloJP and NijiJP are very much on equal ground in Japan. Nobody is going to benefit that much from a collab so they can just do them and have fun.

For EN on the other hand.
