Too many, too quick, too many ESL.
As much hate as Nina gets, I think she's fine. She does her own unique things in her own timeslot.
Enna is only good for her singing. She should cut down on the number of gaming streams and focus on singing/music instead.
Millie can be okay if she learns to enunciate better. She does have that ESL accent, but if she practices enunciation, she can overcome the accent.
Reimu is a nice and decent individual, but she ends up being too boring. Doesn't bring anything new to the table.

Nina seems to be the only successful one of the bunch but her views vary greatly. Her best viewed streams are when she speaks Russian. Then you've got the Jojo watch-a-longs that get maybe under 300 live viewers at best. I don't count the collabs because all the girls get boosted from that. Seems like the only one bringing in the viewers are EN1 and Selen. I guess pushing a new wave every 2 months is starting to backfire in the long run. I would also put them putting the group MV in youtube ads for the first week as also a bad look.

Could've been worse but NijiEN also could have been better if they didnt debut at all and gen4 with the males wont fix anything

>> No.13317491

Wave 3 is merely a symptom of the actual problem. How they handled NijiEN as a whole was an unironic mistake.
>Didn't debut mix waves which creates an impression that they're just diet Hololive
>Because of the above and fostering this weird half-assed gachi atmosphere, there's a real possibility that the girl's would lose some of their whales when the inevitable collab with the male wave happens. This could've been avoided if they actually filetered this types of fans from the get go.
>Has a lot more freedom than HoloEN but for some reason doesn't use it at all. Freedom is more than just being able to say fuck and piss and trying to be a diet version of VShoujo
>Bad wave composition. Too many of them overlap with one another in terms of type of content. It's no big wonder why Selen stands out since she has the fps (APEX) gamer niche all to herself.
>When your, far and away, ACE liver's primary content is APEX, they basically turn into an audience blackhole (E.g. Kuzuha)
>Too many waves, too fucking fast. There's no time for the earlier waves to establish themselves.
>Recruitment team seems to just generally suck at creating Superstar talents or game changers in general. This has been an issue for Nijisanji as a whole since 2019. Even their top Liver Kuzuha was integrated wholesale as an indie (like Suisei).
Honestly, if I was niji management, the only way they could turn this around would be.
>Delay wave 4, let the first 3 waves actually simmer first so they can establish and actually GROW their fanbase from the soft 7k total cap that they currently have.
>Throw away the current debut format and just copy Hololive's with some tweaks. No more intro 2.0's. Some anon's might think that I'm contradicting myself about NijiEN following Hololive being bad, but at this point Hololive's debut model has become the industry standard now and not Nijisanji's. It's not that the hololive debut model is perfect, it's just Nijisanji's model fucking sucks
>Hard Ban on donation readings and watchalongs for the first month. Future waves need to hit the ground running and show the audience what they can actually do.
>Limit multiPOV collabs. Do more collabs like Selen's phasmophobia.
>Recruit outside of the current crop of indies. Or at least have 1 of the new wave be a wild card. Nina (as much as I think she sucks) shows that wildcards can be an asset.

>Because of the above and fostering this weird half-assed gachi atmosphere, there's a real possibility that the girl's would lose some of their whales when the inevitable collab with the male wave happens. This could've been avoided if they actually filetered this types of fans from the get go.
The only one with a very significant % of whales is Finana. They have collabed with and mentioned men since the beginning and anyone scared of men is already gone. The number and % of gachis who care about having 100% purity is very, very small - a real relationship will hurt, but interactions in big collabs are more than fine. 1-on-1 may hurt but that is entirely optional and the dynamic they have matters a lot in that.
>Debut format
1 hour debuts suck. 20-25 minutes is short but enough to get a feel, and if you're watching a relay you can just tune out for anyone you can't stand without wasting an hour+ waiting. Intro 2.0's are an okay ice breaker and allow for a more in-depth introduction for people who were interested in them. The hosting is weird but fine, mobile watchers will close the hosting and go to the debuts.
>More freedom
>Hard ban on dono readings and watchalongs for a month
Dono readings are fine as long as it's not the first or second real stream. They are an "industry standard". I agree on watchalongs though, it's bad content very few people want to watch without prior investment into the streamer or media, but a shorter ban or even just heavy disencouragement is enough in the spirit of freedom.
>Recruit outside of the current crop of indies
Nina's PL was a vtuber, just one who used to be an IRL streamer and wasn't woven into the circles many of the others are from. Petra wasn't an indie vtuber and Finana was pre-debut, those are wave 1 and 2's wild cards since the others had recent experience. They might not have gotten many auditions from non-vtubers who weren't people with 0 content creation experience and were capable of streaming as much as nijiEN does. It's possible the pool of people who auditioned with 1) some content creation experience and 2) the ability to provide content 5+ days a week is not very big.

Of all the things they did, trying to be holo light and shit out 3 waves of girls one after the other is probably what killed them. Personally I think debuting a 5 member first wave with Selen, Elira, Pomu, and 2 males that were properly scouted and not just elira's homosexual lgbt tranny harem would have been best. Then not debut anymore waves for 6 months to a year. The girls wouldn't have to fight over an audience as much as they do now and the males would bypass a bit of that male debuff by being there from the beginning. As it stands you have 10 girls fighting over like 10,000 viewers max and males that are doomed to fail because they're being tossed in at the last minute into an all girl's group and there's a strong possibility they're all literal dick sucking canadian faggots from elira's clique. Also hiring ESL's doesn't help.

I agree with some of the criticisms of how Niji EN has been handled so far but all your recommendations suck.

Introducing males from the get-go sounds fun on paper but I don't think LazuLight would be as tight-knit with extra members (female or male).

>> No.13334125

>>13313400
They don't have a single color motif like Lazulight and Obsydia.
Also NijiEN should've delayed their debuts and waited for the latter gens to get more stablished on the market, that way Ethyria could've leeched from them better

>Doesn't bring anything new to the table.
I think this in general is what has been affecting them, when you really look at it, there's not much variance in the content the NijiEN girls do and the niches they cover, and some even share some personality traots and schticks, it's no surprise that Selen and Nina seem to be the most popular of their waves and the ones doing the best from them when they actually do vary their contents and niches and have pretty distinct and clear differences in personalities.

That's only really gonna "kill" the males, they were gonna have a hard time already, but now it's gonna be much, much worse, especially since it doesn't seem like they will risk much and just continue giving the same shit but with boys now with little variance.
