i jokingly go STREAM WHERE but i'm not the type to seriously get annoyed at things like this (probably because i'm pretty forgetful in real life) but yeah i know some tend to not be very happy when it happens especially since he's done it many times before.
i cope by telling myself if he's busy with things outside of streaming that it's a good sign of stuff to come, and waiting longer for streams makes me appreciate it more when he does deliver.

admittedly, i think none of the current vp include mayuyu because they were recorded while he was on his hiatus (if akina's valentines/white day script freakout was anything to go by, it seems they're required to record them about 5-6 months in advance) so he might get back to releasing them more regularly starting in 2022, but as it stands the last one outside his birthday voice was spring break/white day.

Ah, you're right actually. I missed that they already had a new website since they were announced. First time I saw it today.
I really enjoyed the teaser. The video was nicely edited, and all the boys sound fantastic. No idea what the lyrics mean, but they it's got a great sound alongside the banging music.
I think pairing up Kaida and Kagami for singing worked great too! The high & and low sounded cool.
I'm biased and my ear might just be more tuned in to his voice, but do think Kaida was the standout (only by a bit) in that video and song, maybe just because he got the most solo moments though. Kagami & Ken (especially opening the song) were fantastic too.

I remember back before I saw just how big they were pushing this unit, I honestly thought that a part of it was Niji taking notice of how much Kaida was inclining, and a part of the reason he was chosen was to put him into something with a lot of new hype, with somewhat more popular livers, and try to hop on what could be an early rising star in their brand and boost him quicker. It just caught my eye that Fuwa, Kagami & Ago are all similar channel sizes, but it's Kaida who is the odd one out.

I feel like it was probably a factor of boys who fit these categories:
1. Good singer
2. Interested/able to take on such a big project
3. Not already signed/in an active unit
4. Popular
with the last one being the most negotiable. Going down the popularity ladder: Kuzuha’s already signed + in ChroNoir, Kanae is in ChroNoir (and bad at singing... sorry Kanakana...), Yashikizu seems uninterested in the whole idol thing, Mayuyu and Ib won't sing, Akina is already signed, Belmond and Maimai aren't really singers, Riki-chan is already signed, etc.
I'm definitely interested in where the idea came from, like who proposed it and why. I wouldn't be surprised if Nijisanji saw how much their boys in particular have been inclining over the last year and wanted to quickly get a hold on the male vtuber idol market with the backing of some of their biggest names.

What drives you to like a male vtuber?
Like legitimately what's the first draw or what keeps you captivated?

Want to do what, follow a male vtuber, or be one? Aside from singing/voice because I do watch and oshi vtubers who don't sing or have a not so soothing voice, the thing that's the first draw is humor. Luckily those moments are in abundance. Then there's a kind attitude, it's an instant turnoff if people are overly insulting or bitchy (as in they're genuinely complaining, on the other hand I love some good shit talking between friends or teabagging opponents) and that goes for male or female.
Another reason is a personal one, I get attached seeing them grow and improve. When they reach life milestones or certain goals it makes me want to stick to following them to whatever happens next. And again that goes for both male and female.

/wvt/ is nice as well but there's much more of a circlejerk and selfposting thing going on.

As someone who watches guys outside of Nijisanji too and even a few 3D streamers just be entertaining. I know it's a hard pill to swallow if you're looking to start, but if you aren't fun to watch no one will watch. And I watch people who hover around 10-20 live viewers. He's fun to watch so us 10 people are watching. No one is going to get the instant success that new debuts in large companies get, while striking out on their own, so don't expect that.
