i see this all the time. whenever they get slighty angry, they lash out at their fans, calling them losers for watching vtubers, like a angry gf using your insecurities against you in a argument. but not the haters in specific, they say to all her fans like they're all big losers who will eventually get angry at her instead of whiteknighting all her mistakes

In this case it's the opposite. The more they interact with their audience, the less they like them.
I'm sure they never expected their fans to be chads but when they went to those cons and the audience was 50% fat nerds you could see their enthusiasm wither and die. When they had to answer questions their attitude was completely different when it was an actual child or a normal looking fan, rather than a comic-book-guy lookalike.
That explains why all of HoloEN were colder than usual that week.

Over time, I've learned that there's two kinds of people with regards to this. There's the majority who look at fanbases in general with the usual glass half empty approach, their feelings towards their fanbase equivalent to their feelings towards the weakest links of their fanbase. These people generally see things like exclusivity as a good thing, inherently believe things that are free or public are lower value. The people on whom marketing tricks like a game being worth $5 as opposed to $1 works on, because they believe that the difficulty to obtain something is an inherent gage of quality. This is most people.

But I've learned that somehow, there are some truly saint like people for whom this type of thinking just doesn't happen in. I'm not fully in their heads, so I can't speak for them, but it's as if they sort of background level omnipresent awareness of the worst qualities and the worst people of their fanbase doesn't exist. They can qcknowl3dge it if you remind them, but when they engage with their fanbase, it just doesn't factor into their emotional equation. Instead, they have a far more nuanced perspective on each and every interaction with their fans, but it a lot of the times seems predicated on just this deep sense of thankfulness and excitement for those interactions in the first place. Whether you're the first person or the 100th person to call them cute, they just don't seem to have that mental process in them that begins to make them feel like being called cute is less valuable after a lot of people do it.

Not just vtubing, mind you, it's a similar behavioural dichotomy I see in a lot of places.

That's pretty accurate. The defining moment of elegance in a woman is when she realizes how much weight her words have, and when she learns how to hold her tongue., but this usually happens when they are much, much older.

I think nearly all Vtubers dislike or are impartial to their "fans", some hate. I think it's entirely possible for low views to like their viewers. But "viewers" and "fans" are differnet. When I watch a 20-200 view twitch streamer, their viewers are people and individuals. As viewers, they are actual people, who interact with the streamer, and aren't in any weird relationship with them, they're just some generally pleasant people you meet and you talk to them back.
The relationship of "fans" is different, fans are subordinate and defined by their like/love for the Vtuber; and the Vtuber often has to keep up parasocial relationships with them, and it falls outside of just the idea of treating them as actual people that are watching in a chat room. The larger the community develops, the less the individual, the less the human appears, and the more they exist purely as "fans" and are defined by their common noise. With fans being socially inept or children, with their only actions being "fans" in a relationship to you and not just normal humans talking to you, it becomes easy to resent them. Especially because they start to as fans talk for you, keep talking about you, start to define themselves with you, and make a bunch of demands/stress on you as the Vtuber. Some people like this. Other people love their fans and the attention. It depends on the person, but I can't imagine most well adjusted people liking their "fans".
It's much better for the streamer who just have viewers they treat as regular people, and not "fans".

If they started vtubing they're probably already a nerd themselves. If you know anything about (You)r oshi, whoever she may be, you'd probably realize she most likely wasn't the most popular girl in high school. I think it's normal to hate the most vocal, retarded part of your fanbase. It's not only vtuber specific, but big Twitch streamers have also voiced hating their most intense fans, who wouldn't? They're the ones sperging in chat breaking the mood for everyone, coming up with rrats, stalking on social media and on top of that they probably don't donate enough for it to be worth it. As for gachikois, it's literally impossible to like them, they are in every way as pathetic as it gets and are only used as paypigs. Vtubers and streamers like the fans with which they can have fun with, who watch streams and then go back to their lives. The normal fans, in other words.
