>Maybe short videos have something to do with sub counts? I know Shiki posts some music shorts that do very well compared to her stream numbers.
There was/is (the guy eventually got psyopped into deleting his channel in a hilarious series of events he made his first re-upload) a series of videos that came out around the time PRISM first opened its doors.
Shorts (short videos too, but specifically videos using the Shorts feature) are/were HEAVILY favoured by the algorithm, and Shiki made massive use of that very early in her career.
It's not a maybe. There is documented evidence from hundreds of channels that this works.
This was never 'patched out' by YT since they seek to rival Tiktok so people are still fairly (if not as) successful doing it.

>Elira has what that attracts people to her over the other two?
Elira is... well. She's Tiktok. She's what people who like to look at pretty girls dancing in their underwear despite hardcore porn being right next corner look for.

Also this.
Also she's a nerdy shut-in type character (I really like the way Japanese entertainment uses this and uses it openly) without being full-on pandering or crass /here/tuber. It's always a byline or footnote.
Not OMG GUISE IM JUST LIEK U.
It's "--so anyway that was just a playdate with my mom, sadly". Period. Laugh. Move on.
It makes her come across as incredibly balanced, relatable yet not *too* similar.
It's not "I'm so lonely just like you... wink wink wink" it's "I happen to be lonely, just like you, maybe I'll get out of it, maybe you'll get out of it. Let's hope, but let's not make it the main event".
And that's just a really fascinating balance to strike.
