right. i always thought many of the strong points of niji's main branch stemmed from the diversity of the livers' backgrounds.
the thing is a lot of people /here/ seem to be under the assumption that enikara will keep the same approach for this upcoming all-male wave as they have for the first 3 gens: so pick previously established vtubers (that most likely already know each other or some of their previous hires) and debut them. and i just don't understand how people can assume/believe this AND also hope that 'kuzuha 2' or whoever will be debuting.
i want to think that management will surprise us and pick people who are completely new to vtubing, but we have no way to know until we see it. it's cool to speculate and have expectations and stuff but if we expect too much we might be severely let down.

This is also their first ever EN male wave. iirc some ID and KR guys were also established streamers before joining Nijisanii. It's fine to play it safe while building a foundation. There's definitely people who just will never care, same as people who will never care about a female vtuber, but it's probably a scale where most people might be interested if someone catches their eye. Some EN indies can pull decent numbers so there's definitely enough of a market for NijiEN, especially since Nijisanji is somewhat known for having male vtubers. It might not be big right now but it is there and NijisanjiEN isn't going to die because of a few underperformers. In the end it depends on who they pick up and what they do, which we won't know until they are here.
