I would say regarding this that even if there is some truth to the boost granted being a part of hololive (a common phenomenon with any established entity - think of all the churned out video games or movies that still rake in cash because the audience bought the previous one) that this was certainly not the case when hololive was founded so if there was nepotism in play for early members that really has no bearing given that it is necessary that they were actually good at streaming for hololive to actually get a fanbase in the first place. Now whether the new hires are deserving of the benefits that the brand bestows is up for debate (I think so for pretty much all of JP, but idk about EN have not watched any of them besides a bit of gura), I would say that the hiring process is indicative of at least a minimum level of competency. In theory, if the new streamers suck that will put less stock in being a part of hololive in the future and the initial viewer boon will diminish (I say in theory because most of the time a company can piss in the consumer's mouth countless times before the majority learn to stop buying in). Mori played all the RE games off-stream, all the souls games (she’s really looking forward to Elden Ring), and is currently playing Stardew Valley. A game that she got the idea to play from a conversation she had with Gura, who lives in a completely different timezone, you retard.
