Hololive has permission to play Valorant.
Valorant was developed and published by Riot Games.
Riot Games has been owned by Tencent since 2011.

China supports Hololive

The game itself is irrelevant. Nothing produced by the Chinese is ever good quality. What matters is that one of the largest Chinese companies is openly supporting the group that supposedly claimed that Taiwan was not part of China.
Tencent is a traitor company that is actively working against its nation's interests.

Chinks may still be raging, but the largest company in China has made their stance clear: The feelings of the Chinese people are less important than Hololive.
Even China agrees that pandering to the Chinese isn't profitable.

This is true. Just because they have Chinese trolls does not mean the whole entirety of China hates them. I think if those chink troll actually outs themselves and show their faces they will go to jail and get a fine. No patriot would actually feel proud doing what they do.

Get the chinks to spam Tencent with how Hololive is anti-china and see how long they last until they cave.
I would personally love it if Riot Games was curb-stomped to nonexistence right about now if I was honest.

the Chinese government doesn't have any particular issue with Cover. The companies that acted did so because of the grassroots efforts from NGA antis, Cover did the bare minimum required during the incident by disciplining their talents and stating it was never their intent to question the one China policy. The people shitting their pants are autistic Chinese vtuber antis, they never had government support.

I really have to check out League just to comprehend how they could stream a moba. The community experience could go to fuckall 5 minutes in. I'd definitely prefer "the best game with the worst species" over LoL or any other moba. But I think it's not as friendly for casual streaming, since a game could last anywhere from 20 to 70 minutes (with a tendency towards the latter). The only way I can see this work if with some kind of Astel playing it over and over again. But then again, imagine the collabs! I miss Guardsmen Bob, comfiest moba streamer I ever saw and that was 2010 or so.

using a VPN to bypass restrictions is already a open secret, so long as they aren't too overt about the fact they are doing it no one is going to enforce it. Still a bad idea to openly admit it with your real name.

>>1275690
Yeah, a lot of people forget that the couple of publishers / companies that pulled out from Hololive perms are all extremely small fry compared to the media giant that is Tencent. Think of it like EA vs Aksys Games when it comes to Tencent vs MiHoYo.

League averages in 35-40 mins, you're allowed to surrender so stomps can just end as early as 15 mins. I don't think MOBA games can be comfy to stream as a entertainment streamer (but there are exceptions. SirActionSlacks for Dota 2 is a pretty competent entertainment streamer). Most people who watch MOBA players watch pros to learn or observe how the best play the game.

I figured, though it's very different from what I watched. I started with League in Season 1 (Renekton was out before I started, Karma was just released when I hit 30). And me and my friends just watched whoever was streaming back then. I loved GB for never showing annoyance or frustration and just trying to have a good time, and I miss that about MOBA streamers nowadays. Probably because it's not interesting anymore for a matured MOBA, but comfy mobas would be the niche a holo could fill without extensive knowledge of or time investment into the specific MOBA. So that's what I would expect and wish for when it comes to a Holo playing Dota, it's just painfully unrealistic.
