I saw it and thought of Kiara in a battle against something, where she's losing. Badly enough that a certain reaper appears and says "It's time." Kiara argues saying no, it isn't, and asks to prove herself.
Mori agrees "Fine, if it will make you go peacefully. I'll let you tire yourself out." and steps back.
Kiara rises and removes her limiters. Giving Mori the warmest smile she can as she transforms. After a fierce fight, whatever foe is defeated.
The reaper says smirks, "Consider me impressed. I'll see you later then. Take care, Kiara." Those last words spoken with a real smile. She then vanishes back to the underworld.
Kiara is left on her back, bruised, tired, clothing damaged, but very alive.

Do you think EN will nuke the server and update when the next MC version comes out or do you think they'll stay on 1.16.3 for a while longer. Personally I think they should move over as soon as they can. There's not much going on right now and and 1.17 is gonna add a ton of cool shit both for people who like to build things and for people who like to walk around exploring like Kiara. Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll use it as an opportunity to merge the EN and JP servers.

I was thinking about that actually. I do know realms update automatically, so they'll get into caves and cliffs whether they want to or not, but in chunks they've already explored everything will stay the same.
When the next adventurer gets the urge to nether portal to the middle of nowhere though, that's when we'll see caves and cliffs chunks.

So I'm not sure if they're going to eventually powergame Minecraft or if it's just going to turn into pixel art la la land (which is okay but it's been done to death) BUT if they do really buckle down and play seriously they have three routes they could take in Caves and Cliffs, right?
I really want them to find nether wart and get into potionmaking. It's just useful and nightvision/unendingbreath/strength just makes the game so much easier for content like Ocean Monuments etc. You can't wing it, but it just works so well.
I think if they build a road straight out over the lava pits with the striders, just maybe 1000 blocks out from the portal then open another portal in Caves and Cliffs it would give them an opportunity to test a whole new world. Everyone would want to see that.

I'm also gonna say this, and I am going to say this with absolute 100% respect for the JP/ID voice actors. They do a great job and have excellent communities. I can speak Japanese a smidge as my second language, but a lot of EN viewers are going to be English speaking only. So with that said...
I'm 1,000% certain JP and EN merging would kill Minecraft. JP already has Elytra, and anything you could really ask for. EN is just starting. Comparatively EN is just a baby. They have so much they can do and explore.
But you might say you want to see your favorite voice actor that speaks Japanese. The server visits are so cool right?
Yeah, BUT, they can always visit and make it an event. You can only find so many new things in Minecraft. Sure you might be able to roleplay for a collab but a lot of EN viewers don't know the JP girls. There's no incentive to.
Kiara LOVES Pekora. I get it. Do I? I have no idea who Pekora is. I came into this with the HoloEN launch like millions of other people with Gura. We do not understand Hololore and have no real incentive to learn it.
There will be English only speakers that may watch a Japanese stream out of novelty but...that's going to be a tiny majority.
Collabs are fine, but not only do you not gain anything by a merger, you lose something and that's just a path I don't think anyone really wants.

What you could gain is natural interaction, familiarity, and friendship between the talents. The inhabitants of the JP server don’t always collab, they just happen to be there at the same time to do their own shit and this has regularly proven to lead to sweet and fun interactions of the girls spending time together, helping each other out, or messing with each other. Planned collabs are great and all but are often stiff because the girls clearly haven’t spent that much time together. Whereas, if they spent even a little amount of time with each other while fooling around in Minecraft, they’ll likely be a lot more familiar with each other, which will lead to better deliveries.

There is no downside to exposing EOPs to the JP/ID talents and vice versa. (You) may not care but so many others will and this can only help both sides incline.

In conclusion, Minecraft is so much more to Hololive than just a game to build things and beat the Ender Dragon. It’s basically a glorified Zatsudan sandbox for them to spend time with their co-workers, and the ENs are deprived of that by being quarantined in their own server. But yeah, having a new gen will help a lot someday.

I really can't speak for others, but I do know now from experience it is exceedingly tough to keep up with more than one or two streamers. Our main quest with Kiara is someone else's side quest. I can't imagine that on a grander scale.
Sure...I might be a bit biased due to my first experience with the JP folk and I'm sure they're good people.
...BUT if they ABSOLUTELY HAD to merge I would want the JP to come over to the EN server. There's so much more to do and JP is post-game. I'd argue the fact that they've made so little progress is part of why it's fine for them to nuke it. It's a much harder decision for the JP side since they have so much tied into the server but for EN there's almost nothing. Also there's more than just the build limit changing, there's things like different ore distributions and entirely new ores and textures. The acquisition of resources is a fundamental part of MINE-craft, so regardless of whether the other girls choose to explore the experience will be changed. We're obviously not gonna see eye-to-eye on this and frankly our opinions don't matter much since it's up to the girls and management, but I do think there's a valid and compelling argument for a reset. Even if you still oppose the merge I think there's a solid line of logic justifying the reset.
