Her steering improved a LOT in general, but she still looses her cool and fucks up too often, doesn't know how to manage items and hasn't shaken off that weird habit of swerving left to right all the time to adjust course even when there's no need to adjust. Another thing I noticed is that often when there's a branched path like a shortcut she'll be in doubt over which way to go until the last second and then fuck up because she made a last second decision. Overall, she's still much better than she used to be. Back then, most of the time the only thing that would bring her above 10th place was a well timed killer or insane luck.

This is such a long running problem, she needs to iron this out. But yeah, general driving has improved, it's the minute to minute decision making that is still not there. But I still see her taking shortcuts more willingly, pulling turns she probably wouldn't consider before and so on, it's just a matter of practice and well here we are.

In general losing to stuff not in your control is worse, be it teammates or rng. It's easier to say "I fucked up, I can do better next time" when it's your fault but getting screwed over by Mario Kart rng gives it a feeling of "I was doing well and then the game screwed me over, fuck this shit".

Unrelated to the Mario Kart stream but what did you guys think of Kanata's team for the sport festival? Personally I think it's pretty much as good as I could've hoped for and it will probably make for some great moments.
Also seems like they tried to keep friend groups together in each team.

I don't know if it's just me but I find these streams comfy. Sure Kanata squeals a lot but aside from that there's something comforting it. I felt the same about pre-tournament training streams. They seem to be generally porting in stuff from the studio 3D software.
Hopefully they will get full physics environments to play around with at home and be able to interact with things spawned in. Admittedly only a few of them actually have hand tracking since they were originally only 3D to begin with, but 3D hardware is fairly cheap these days.

What do people mean by "production"? Bitrate was higher this time but that's about the only difference. You say that but Kanata still has one of the highest average CCV and overall high numbers, especially considering that her sub count is relatively lower to people with similar viewership, she is popular by pretty much every metric. It's just that her overseas viewership is low so it seems like she is less popular to those that don't watch her since there is less english discussion.
