I can draw pretty well but since I never practiced seriously I have big problems with speed, workflow and I also erase a ton. If I draw long enough I can draw something good by my standards, but it takes a massive effort to get there due to my poor fundamentals and dexterity.

That's why I resolved to draw whenever Ina's on, especially the gesture streams. Repetition and volume of work is the best way to fix my problems, I think.

Yeah I've been drawing my whole life but I've never actually sat down and done my research and studies outside of class. I think I'd benefit from drawing along with gesture streams, especially because I know I need to improve my anatomy and form drawing to be less stiff, but I never have the motivation. Pen and Paper is honestly the best way to start, it's the best way to practice for virtually no cost. Only bother with a tablet when you're committed to art.

As for WHICH tablet, it depends what you want. The Wacoms are the best traditional screen tablets, but they're overpriced, There's new brands of budget screen tablets that are pretty decent for around the 300 dollar mark, but they're noticeably inferior. You could also get a bamboo tablet with no screen to try your hand at digital art. It's very awkward at first because you have to look at the monitor while your hand is moving somewhere else, but if you get used to it it's cheap and dependable.

I'm currently using an iPad Pro to draw, I got it cheap from a family member and it's pretty impressive, the accuracy is perfect and it's lightweight and extremely portable, for less than half the price of a cintiq. It's definitely a viable option.

I use a UGEE m708, it doesn't have a screen but once you get into the swing of using it, it works incredibly well. Drivers for it are absolute ass though, every time I use it either after a prolonged break or on a new PC, the drivers seem to get fucked, not to mention that the instillation screen makes it look like you're pirating a game in the 90's.
