Even with all that aside, I have extreme doubts that IRyS’s brand of music would take off like Mori’s did even with the hype around HoloEN a year ago. I'm actually excited for a Morys original song collab for two reasons;
-Mori lets her in the creative process and actually has input to the music
-Irys gets exposed to the industry connection Mori has, and maybe contact them for future songs
Plus, it's very evident that while Irys isn't Avril, her tastes in English songs are very similar. Allowing her to pick and choose her own themes and lyrics would add something unique to the EN side of vtubing.

Why would anyone hate her? You can criticize Cover for giving her preferential treatment in form of animated videos and songs while her colleagues have to pay, plan and work for all that themselves.
You can certainly dislike on her design and especially the way it's drawn. But she is undoubtly the most talented of HoloEN overall and synegizes with literally everyone.

It goes deeper then that. The fact that both the artist and rigger have done a way better job before this just shows that either it was rushed or no care was put into. With her being a Vsinger means that she is placed above the other talents and needs to stand next to Sora and Azki but having a face that not even her own artist should feel proud of makes it the worst thing ever.

IRyS is perhaps the best in this regard. Her Japanese is arguably better than her english and is damn near native level, yet she rarely uses it compared to some other chuubas who are bilingual. She knows she was hired as an EN chuuba and mainly speaks english. Yet she still slips some JP in there because she does seem to have a sizable JP audience and she doesn't want to completely alienate them.
