No video preview. If you view their channel and they upload multiple times a day. Clickbait thumbnails. Out of context clips or strung together clips to change the context. They put watermarks or intros their videos, clippers aren't creating original content. A positive sign is complication videos, that shows that they actually regularly view for enjoyment not just clip material.

My advice is just don't watch clippers.

My personal favorite clipper is kowkarot since he does 10-20 min clips of certain events in holoEN with multiple povs for context and stuff. He also adds ES subs which is usefull for spics. Another clipper that's good is Haru who is actually a JP clipper. He does weekly highlights of EN for every girl and it usually has a theme. He also does a highlight reel of some events like the debut, the prank "war" and so on. He also has JP subs which helps with my JP reps.

Shabbysubs is great if you like Marine. I also found some random ass dude recently called something like "Holo and Chill" who is small as shit but clips the kind of stuff that other channels don't(mostly talking streams where they talk about more serious topics).
