My hypothesis is that for leftoids like Toby Fox, fictional media is their replacement for religious moral teachings. This is why the game suddenly has Chara/Satan show up so you can' finish the game and tells you to erase your file and try again after selling your soul, but now you are stained with original sin and can never get a happy ending again. A better developer would let the player decide how they feel about killing all the monsters in their way instead of lecturing how bad they are for not playing the game the right way.

anon... that is this end of the game like after you beat asgore in any route it promts the end of the game whether it be the the Flowey boss fight then end card, in genocide route once you beat sans there's literally nothing that can stop the player since he Is the final boss and the can't give you a end card cause literally everything is dead there literally no other possibility other than the game telling you "welp everythings dead you got max level you done now?"
Like what do you want from a genocide run ending logically from a story and gameplay stand point there's no other option except maybe throw another even harder boss fight at you but even then all that would do is cheapen the fight with sans but what then after that? your done you've got what you wanted out of the game by beating it time to turn it off.

The whole point of the genocide run is being a psychogamer who conquers the greatest challenges the game has to offer and then ditches it once that's done. Going back on that AFTER it's done is a cowardly bitch move and Chara rewards you accordingly.
