Sana is almost a hag and has been doing this for years. You can find her name in old 2hu artbooks from when 2hu was at its peak. She can't just churn gacha grills at sanic speed like Ina but her works have a lot of thought and detail put into them and her portfolio is impressive.

Yep. this is how I feel looking at Ina's art vs Sana's. It's difficult to explain..

Ina has anatomy down to a T, and Sana imo colors better than her, and draws way better BG's but they're both at a match being pro level artists.

But you can tell someone who can technically draw vs someone that puts soul into their work.

Ina's art is something i'll look at once then never look at again unless it pops up, (basically her art is perfect for Gacha games). Thats not saying her art is terrible though, but it looks too technical, and dime a dozen. A lack of creativity almost.

Sana's art, and Lofi's are stuff I would go back to look at again and again because you can almost feel the personality in them.

She is self taught and taught herself drawing during and after college(unrelated to arts, probably something engineering or business related by how she has talked about it) by pure imitation and grind. I have studied her art and it's not perfect but the way she arranges things makes everything look good as a whole. It's really good to study because she makes things look good without that much detail behind them. I know she put a crazy ammount of effort developing her style, but it's a simple style that looks really good without having to work too much on each piece, is what I mean. She can make few strokes look great.

When she said she literally took the fastest way to become a professional, she meant it. Also her art had way more SOUL when she wasn't contracted to churn gacha girls every week.

I improved so fucking much in the first year of drawing but my second year has been so much slower because "more time needed to draw = less pieces made overall" and I don't end up getting enough practice. I've been trying to draw once a week on Aggio now tho and I can see myself improving again. Good for her that she got that far from basically no drawing skills, I'd say I'm quite jealous indeed but I'm too lazy to be worthy of such feeling. My friend who had never drawn in his life surpassing me in skills because he draws like 3 times a week completely sucked the life out of me. I want to feel happy for him but... I was always the art guy in the friend group and now I... I don't even know if I'm ready to open commissions anymore. I've been having lots of second doubts, "maybe after this drawing you can open them" but it's never enough.

My man please, focus on the fundamental first before you start doing color, toning. You are trying way too many things without any skill to back up. For starter, your lines are very samey and your shaping skill are fucked, your anatomy skill is non existent, start drawing without coloring and toning and try to focus on your line and shape first, also look into human anatomy or you can just take reference from popular artist.

I can blame drawing on a phone with my finger for having no line sensitivity and thus all the lines look the same, but it is true. My anatomy knowledge is non existent and I've been putting off on studying it more than I should. I don't like the idea of having to study for a hobby, it sounds like it would suck all the fun out of it, but improving would surely be way more fun. I'm not sure about actively studying anatomy but I've been trying to find reference poses for my drawings before doing them and that helps a bit.

You really need to start drawing from reference my dude. Like, look at a drawing you like and try to copy(not trace) the pose, proportions, where is everything positioned, etc. Don't draw from imagination at first. Draw from others, follow tutorials, do figure drawing and anatomy studies.

COPY a drawing(not trace,.copy, by eye), pros do it all the time and they end up understanding a lot of things they didn't before. Then compare and analyze where did everything go wrong in your drawing. It helps you develop observation skills which will let you know when you're doing a bad line or impossible pose or whatever.

In this day and age you can learn from anyone in the world.

I used to draw from others on paper, copying drawings by eye, sometimes incrementing parts that were out of frame but I haven't done that in digital. I did this pose by drawing from eye more recently as a quicker drawing and it turned out.. ok. I was aware that the area where her thighs connect and her butt and her hip in general looked off, as well as her belly, but I haven't redone this pose to try and fix my mistakes so...

There is literally no point in spending that much even if you weren't a beginner. For example I have a friend in game dev who has an iPad and pencil but he travels for work and thus couldn't use a laptop/PC and USB tablet on the go, it's easier and has file transfer or whatever. Me on the other hand, I only draw at home, so I have a cheap USB tablet.
