Jesus Christ it was a lot, and I mean, a lot harder than I thought it would be to get a hold of a Japanese copy of DQ11.
Steam regions locks your ass, and getting a Japanese edition cd key to VPN activate was almost equally as hard, and the Japs don't use torrents so ahoying it was also not possible.
But unexpectedly using the Xbox Game Pass you can actually just region change your PC and search for the Japanese edition and download it from there, never did I think Microsoft would be the ones to make that process smooth.
So anyone who wants to try play through the game in Japanese can just do that.

The books are honestly worse about that than the movies. The movies are usually made better by competent screenwriters and directors. (the original shawshank is shit in comparison to the movie)
The original Running Man for instance has a whole chapter about how the cool-n-hip streetrat ghetto blacks are the only people intelligent enough to use the libraries and understand that smog is bad for you and that the government is bad. It's pretty out there as far as the whole fetishization of blacks gets.

As a Eurofag who just recently went back to my regular 5 day a week schedule from having been on a 3 day a week schedule for close to a half a year I can tell you that it is pretty damn painful because there is a real sense of disconnect when all you can do is watch the archive.
I keep a presence on Twitter so it isn't like I'm just gone but not being there during the livestream is sad.
Worst part is that if you don't take your time and watch that stream she did the same day then the chances are pretty high you fall behind, like I'm behind on the Makaimura stream this week because I didn't watch it right away and figured I'd leave it for later in the week.
