I used to not like Ina. Well, not exactly "dislike", but I felt that she was completely underqualified to be a content creator, let alone a vtuber for Hololive.

Her personality literally matches all of the normal Asian diaspora girl types I've met in college / art school. Being "punny" is cool but that's literally what half the IRL people around me did as a "personality trait", and is that really 800K subscriber content creator worth peak humour anyway? Listening to her streams can be comfy but the flip side is that she is just incredibly awkward and half the time has trouble thinking of what to talk about in the first place. In collabs she relies on other people for topics for the most part (I noticed this a lot in the JP collabs, since she would basically just say "ohh-" and "sugee-" 90% of the time unfortunately.) I do enjoy her art streams but that only comes like once a week.

She is also incredibly slow with words; you notice time and time again how she's unable to come up with comebacks, or sometimes not even able to put together a coherent sentence, having long pauses between words and fumbling with words in general (https://youtu.be/XMo7Zjww-d4?t=2875 for an example just from yesterday). You just have to cringe sometimes. In general I thought 4chan would have a field day with her and rip her apart like the piranhas they are, but I was surprised 4chan unanimously loved her.

My general thought was: she doesn't really have much to offer as an internet personality / creator. Ame can be a hype machine for years and Gura has experience being a drunk gremlin, but Ina's just... a normal person. So why would you watch her when you can go outside and talk to any one of the many art school Asian American / Canadian girls and have the same experience.

And then I realized -- the people in 4chan CAN'T go outside and meet normal girls. THAT's why they love her so much. They're sick of exaggerated and "fun" personalities and want to be able to talk to a normal, realistic, if not a slightly awkward girl, since they're literally unable to for physical or mental reasons but still want to have that experience of having normal friends. Ina fills that particular niche.

After that I was able to appreciate Ina's role a lot more. Still cringe when I watch her sometimes though.

The holos that have "granny voice". I don't hate them but I can't listen to them for too long. Pekora - great design, great personality, granny voice kills it. Subaru - great design, great personality, granny voice. I make an exception for Korone because her character is S tier but she's got a little bit of the granny voice going on too. These are the voices that I imagine an old cackling witch has. There are a few more too but those are the ones that immediately come to mind.

To add onto this, I also greatly enjoy the indie scene of vtubing, both on twitch and Youtube - yes, even people like nyanners, though Id on't watch her as much as other, smaller vtubers. I like Mori, but her fanbase is way too rude when it comes to the rest of Hololive. The whole "we don't care about Hololive" schtick rubs me the wrong way, as it's very against the positivity and pro-unity vibes that every other fanbase tries to encourage. The "muh rent free" posts also contribute to it; it's like they go out of their way to make enemies with people, even if those people haven't even said anything about Mori. I find it hard to watch her streams live because I simply don't like interacting with the other deadbeats.

Whenever Mori can't remember a Holo's name or one of their songs, there's shitposters who meme about her "not caring about Hololive", to which deadbeats respond "Good, neither do we. When I've just gotten into holos I decided that Ina and Watame will be my favourites. Watame is still up there because she can be funny sometimes, and I still like Ina's personality, but the last time I've enjoyed Ina's stream was when she went out to explore new lands in Minecraft. That was an interesting adventure, but since then I've completely stopped watching her.
Overall, I like girls that scream or joke or have yab moments a lot. Basically anything that makes chat explode with grass or makes for good clips. For some reason I always glimpse at chat whenever something interesting like that happens, maybe it's like a laugh track for zoomers. I miss Polka's Amogus streams, those were peak entertainment.

I don't really like Gura.

Her tiny attention span and the way she cucks her fans by locking karaoke streams behind membership really annoys me. The fact she's so openly resentful towards her own success also bothers me.

I'll still watch her if no one else is streaming but in general her content seems more like she's just doing a zatsudan with a game in the background. I'd prefer her if she just did zatsudans instead of picking up random games she's never gonna finish just because she gets bored after 5 minutes.

Also I don't like Pekora because she seems incredibly fake even as vtubers go. It's no secret she's a huge social retard and it kinda shows in her character. She lays it on super thick because she doesn't know how to "be herself" instead of being Pekora.
