The truth is that most of EN & JP interact so infrequently that it allows fans to build up expectations for what it will be like when they’re able to act more casually around each other and the Summer Fest was the first time that was able to happen on a large scale. The problem there is that just because fans have built up these idealized versions of what these interactions will be like, that doesn’t mean they’ll be validated in reality.

Don’t get me wrong, I was frustrated by how reserved Ame was in approaching JP members but it’s really only because it wasn’t matching up with my personal expectations. That’s just how Ame is, there’s nothing to be done about it. Ideas of her jumping in to collab with her senpais are pretty much just fanfiction. If complaining that fiction doesn’t match your headcanon is childish, complaining about actual people is retarded.
