Rushia was supposed to be shy and cute and say "nanodesu". Then the real girl's rage started leaking out and people thought it was funny. So she made Rushia into a parody of herself.

Except if your character is just "me with the limiters removed", and you keep doing it long enough, then those limiters are going to crumble. At some point Rushia became the real person, and her 3D self just an act that Rushia puts on.

Happens to a lot of celebrities, if only in more subtle ways. You define yourself by what everyone around you says you are. And for vtubers, whether on-stream or off-stream you're constantly addressing and reading messages of people constantly addressing and following up on key aspects of your life and career you've shared in very casual manners, unlike celebrities who can maintain distance - you wouldn't ask a movie star whether their pets liked the dog food they talked about in the last interview, but you would see no problem with saying that to a vtuber. So the lack of distance accelerates the process even more, but since most are talking about normal shit you probably don't end up like Jaden Smith.

her character is actually like a cute yet dark witch. i just enjoy her as entertainment but if you are caught by her magic you can never escape from it. her communication style is super unique. nobody can imitate it.

contrary to eops casual memes/rrats, she doesnt pretend at all. she actually openly say that she isnt serious at all, what she does is just an entertainment/comedy, and often shows her decent mannerism and common senses, but even in such an "everyone is aware that shes not serious, its all comedy or acting" situation, she can still tempt viewers and make them serious about what she does a cute and insecure way.
