Here's some general stream etiquette I've picked up over the years. This honestly depends on the view count. If they're sub 80 viewers and you've been chatting the entire time I genuinely say goodbye so the streamer doesn't think I left because of bad content, if they're anything above that and the views change frequently I just leave because no one cares especially if I haven't been speaking in chat or if there is several thousands of people watching. Sending a SC to say bye to let them know it was a really good stream is also a good idea and it's good feedback as it lets the streamer know what kind of content viewers are willing to pay for just like >>1161618 said.

Overall you need to judge for yourself and see what kind of streamer you're watching, what they're currently doing, what their chat is like and what others are posting in chat. The scummiest thing to do is to say you're leaving a streamers chat to watch someone else who just started streaming, and I know you're not asking that but if you ever find yourself in that situation where a small streamer has been heavily interacting with you and a big streamer logs on just make up a lie about studying or going out to buy groceries or something after a couple of minutes.
