Who's going to be the antagonist of Hololive Alternative? It looked like it was going to be Coco from the animated trailer, but for obvious reasons that's probably changing.

Did it? At the end, it looked like Coco had teamed up with Noel and Flare to find Kanata's unconscious body; that's not antagonist behavior. Honestly, I don't think Cover's going to put any of their talents in an explicitly antagonistic role (even Fubuki & Mio versus Ayame was "a misunderstanding"), so I'm thinking the central antagonist is going to be an original character.

Keyword "explicitly". Again, Ayame was portrayed as antagonistic in the trailer, and then the website lore cleared her behavior up as a misunderstanding. I imagine whoever's in charge of direction for the overall lore is going to make sure none of the conflict gets any more intense than a bunch of "misunderstandings", and I'm sure whatever brought Noel, Flare and poor fucking Shion (I feel sorry for anyone who has her as their oshi, even fucking Kanata did better than her and all she did was fall to the ground and make a wacky anime face) to blows with Coco was another nothingburger.
