What's there to disagree about? the best dark souls experience is walking the razor thin tight rope of offense and defense where encounters are dances between you and them, where you can experience their full moveset and see all the tricks they have while putting your reflexes and ability to read the enemy to the test. Having a big dumb club that flattens them to the ground on the first hit and kills them on the second before they have time to recover just eliminates all the challenge and thus all the fun.
