I just watch a small pool of chuubas, but the only ones I really stopped actively watching I think was Fuwamoco. I liked FWMC Morning, but part of me got bored because it got played out, and I was getting tired of Monday being the same stupid natto challenge, and part of it was because I kept getting time conflicts with work meetings regularly and my usual 11 AM go-to stream of Steven Crowder.

Other than that, I still check my usual array of Mumei, Bae, Nerissa, Ao, and the occassional Ina. They're all pretty fun, I like Ina's cooking streams and Nerissa's cake-baking stream.

Selen: long story short, too many apology tweets and community notes. It felt like watching a battered wife go home to her abuser every single week each time she fell on a grenade for them. Thank fuck that's over with, and while I'm annoyed it took so long, I'm glad she accomplished quite a lot before she left despite how much they were holding her back. For the record I left her some time in early 2022 when I was sick of her bootlicking and it only got worse from there.

Fauna/Mumei: I have no fucking clue, actually. I still greatly enjoy their streams but I just... can't be assed to watch them most of the time and just catch the occasional vod.

Shiori: Too much energy required to actively watch her since she makes jokes very quickly and usually involves visuals. I'm getting older and busier and it's far easier to put on a stream as background noise than to have to actively keep up with all the content she's making since she's a very skilled entertainer. It's not a dig at her, and I enjoy her when I have the time, but I'm actually skill issued by her live streams.

Because people are blind and fans in nijiEN tend to either believe the whole unity bullshit or specifically hone in on one streamer at a time. I was hyperfocused on Selen so I got disillusioned after all the constant apologies and clear signs of mismanagement, so I just... left.
It didn't help that Selen was pretty much the only one TRYING to be more than just a streamer who booted up a game, streamed for 5 hours, then logged off, so she got shat on the most and tended to keep things bottled up until she explodes. I'd take it a step further and say even her humor and speaking voice is fine, and the gap between them makes a fun contrast, like with Subaru, Towa, or Kanata. I don't think we have any big chuubas who have a similar disconnect.

Once a bunch of culture and gender wars took over the whole company narrative, I lost interest completely.
