First time using skeb. What the fuck does this mean? I'm guessing it's so that the customer and artist don't make backdoor deals that leave skeb out of their cut of the money. Or possibly to prevent customers from harassing artists on twitter. No one actually follows this rule, right?

Use your context clues. It means you cannot contact the artist for any reason related to the skeb. Skeb is not a commission site. It is a request site. You place money onto a plate, request (but not demand) that they accept your offering and draw something you want (though they're not obligated to do so) and then you bow and fuck off. If you contact the artist to ask for revisions, changes, etc they will ban you. Simples.

The reasons for this are several:
1) many JP artists find the concept of selling commissioned art outside of very specific cultural institutions distasteful. Selling your books at comiket or to an employer is fine, but just taking orders from randoms? Gross and western.
2) skeb markets itself to artists as a place they can get business without being hassled by clients with "endless" revision requests. That's all well and good in some cases but probably exaggerated. Either way, that's what the artists are sold and want to avoid.
3) you do not own anything you request from skeb. I feel like shouting that part because every day it feels like somebody brings up buying a model or a ref sheet or something from skeb and I have to remind everyone. All copyrights remain with the artist. Period. Skebs are not purchases.
4) many of the above points are probably, at least in part, a tax thing. If you're offering somebody money to do something that they are keeping all of the resulting rights to anyway, its not a taxable sale so requester and artist both dodge taxes and skeb gets a larger cut to keep.

There's probably a few more things but that's about it for the most part.

i don't even want anyone to hear me really, I just want to rant and form my thoughts into something, because this entire vtubing project I've started is turning into a big weight in my life and nobody irl understands.
i have an autoimmune disease that severely affects my mobility and energy, have been in and out of the hospital for the past 2 years, and I'm working full time so it makes it a lot more difficult to keep up. it's so exhausting and I'm closer than ever to just throwing in the towel. it feels like I'm damned if i do and damned if I don't and a hobby that started out as a way for me to showcase my skills and improve on them has turned to politics, with people making posts 'vague-ing as me', others calling 'me' out, and creating drama surrounding me that I'm not even privy to.
I started this project a year ago and it grew significantly past my expectations. I have fun with it but I think the mental toll is becoming too much to continue, and I see it coming to an end.

Hey i did as Mama Ubume suggested and tried to stream 4 hours of one of my most played games on steam

Also, are tags something you set up according to you or to "trends"? Which type of vibes you might have but you have not yet described in your tags?

Based on what i heard from other chuubas, the problem might appear from the way you approach such social medias, they all have their problems and their truly bad sides, like here, but there are also ways in which you can engage to not find yourself exhausted or even angry after going in. Try to just think about networking, socializing with other chuubas, helping chuubas and doing your own thing, try to not get so poisoned from the negative sides and dont use them to engage in content unrelated to vtubing, nor live in them because the trending topics will always be drama and rage-bait. But still, if this doesnt apply, try to tell us exactly what you dislike, that might give a way to better feedback.
Also, when going live, remember to use the #vtuber or #vtuberen or #vtuberuprising tags on twitter, or posting your link in the reddit /virtualyoutubers and using also the (live!) Tag.

If you really dislike it, the best thing is to just make your own community discord and not worry yourself with such a platform, but i beg you to reconsider to not use it, as its the major form of networking nowadays, you get to interact, off-collab, socialize, and be part of other chuuba communities! Just avoid the well known bad faith actors, and you will land in a nice place!

I think this particular problem is because you kinda lack aim, or at least thats what vibes i get. You can take a more active role and ask always for collabs and such, but to do so you need to also use other socials to find out who wants to collab and such...
