I swear that only lasted a month or two. By April 2021 it was turning for the worse. For all of the downsides of being crammed into four threads on /jp/, at least people who actually watched streams would often be the majority of posts in a thread (or people who pretended to watch streams).

I don't think any EN Vtuber can surpass peak AmeSame, but both have fallen so far over the past 1-2 years. As much as people like to be contrarians, Gura is very entertaining when she puts in effort and Ame was LA CREATIVIDAD, but Gura doesn't try anymore and Ame didn't take her own advice to "Improve yourself"
