>Pandering to the spic market
Why even bother? The weeb market in SA countries is even smaller than in english speaking ones, most of them know english anyways and with median salaries of 300 USD a month, they couldn't simp hard enough to be profitable even if they tried.
Nevermind keeping up with whatever inside-memes each country has to stay relevant.

SA spic here (Uruguay, so take what I say with a grain of salt since our culture is kind of different to the more generic SA mumbojumbo)
From what I have seen in comments, most of the people supporting this company from the SA community are people trying to "get back" at hololive for not pandering to them (not joking, most comments are fairly antagonistic and how finally someone gives them attention)
SA has a massive inferiority complex and over all craves attention at all costs. Remember how they chimped out on Korone's chat once fighting with EOPs and JOPs while she streamed Getting Over it, because she wasn't talking to them even tho they soammed soanish greetings.
This is also why you see thementioning their country of origin vomoletely umprompted.

This will likely work in the short term, these chuubas will get a short boost. But SA has a much faster meme cycle than English memes, so interest will die down really fucking fast
Also most currencies are worth nothing, so the monetary gain from the (few people that will actually superchat) will not be much.

Tl;dr: SA is a volatile market where you have to pander 24/7. If they can keep up and operate with low cost, they will succeed

While people from SA are mostly poor, if she plays her cards right she can monopolize the market and keep all of it.

Calm down faggot, why is every fellow spic a self-hating cück, my god.
As for your question, this seems to be just an attempt from the suits to save/revitalize a dead project tapping in an untouched market, which seems to be working ok.
Girls are souless as fuck though, I remember a couple of miu asmr streams being good, but thats about it.

The market in Japan is already saturated and in the English market is dominated by hololive because the small Japanese vtubers have no choice but to look for unexplored markets by the large vtubers companies such as Latin America that has a lot of public weeb, however this is a market poor it may not be profitable in the long run for wactor but for small japanese indie vtubers it can be the difference between having something or disappearing

because most spics have a massive inferiority complex that they only know how to deal with in 2 ways, either accepting it and turning into a doomer or get angry at it and develop an arrogant personality, it is weird to find a neutral one that just lives normally

Right? It's honestly fucking pathetic lol. Kissing the gringo's asses on 4chan is not gonna change anything about you anyway so why the hell would you not just own up to it and act like an actual human being is beyond me.

There's millions of spics out there, as long as there isn't a lot of competition it seems likely you could absolutely make a living pandering to them. HoloID's not really a great example since most of them stream in english or japanese.

A better example would be Mimi, the queen of BRs. If she did it for brazillians, presumably anyone could do it for the spanish market which is larger

Pandering to south americans isn't even a faustian bargain, there's nothing you gain from that, except for a lot of dead subs after 1 or 2 weeks.
They're dirt poor, retarded meme lords and somehow behave worse/cringier than seamonkies.

I wonder what Japanese people feel when their Vtubers started pandering to English only folks. Do they have the same seething here?

>> No.975129

And even if a spanish vtuber existed, they'd do the smartest choice and stream in english since in the end that's the potentially biggest market with actual disposable income.

I don't say that learning spanish as a second or even third language is bad (and for japs it might be easier than english since they don't have to worry about word pronunciation), but is well known that LatAm markets are highly prone to piracy when it comes to consuming overseas media.

SA might have a lot of fans. But in the end it is all about the money.

Why pander to a market that won't donate or join memberships?

They might have crazy high numbers of viewers or subs, but if 90% of them are broke, then it's not profitable. Thus not worth.

Another SA here (Brazil) and you are spot on, the only way for a SA pandering Vtuber to become anything here is if the talent themselves are from SA too.
But that is another can of worms and I can see the majority of ESLs from here not even want to touch Spanish/Portuguese Vtubers, splitting the potential fanbase even further.
