As a long time DM, anybody that advertises how complex or living their world feels and nothing about how they DM then that's a red flag. I've not watched either DM because I'm really picky. Most streamer DMs are of a style that I don't particularly enjoy, so I am wouldn't be able to give an objective opinion about him anyway. However, I tend to be a lot more trusting with people that are open about how they DM and how they rule on things. I find that any secrecy is because they have something they want to hide.
That said, I hope he's fine and I hope the girls have lots of fun.

At this point they are only committing to a short 6-8 week game to get a feel, then Brett's universe is having a time-skip which is when a long campaign might happen. The short game is how they intend to get a feel for things.

Though it feels like Froot and Vei were the two pushing the hardest, Haruka is keen (and too autistic), I think the only two who are apprehensive is Nyan and Snuffy, probably more so for Snuffy.
