With your condition, a lot of entry-level jobs are out of your reach. A lot of companies also don't want unproven talent, even with a portfolio, due to the idea that they may be unreliable.

I think, for you, going hard on Vtubing/commissions (art/writing commissions mostly), you can probably achieve the same value as a minimum wage job. You're already partway there, you have about 50 average viewers, and supplementing with commissions should cover what you're missing from that. If you can earn $1200 a month you'll be earning the equivalent of a part-time $15 an hour job. I think the secret is being creative with the idea of what a "commission" is - for example. fun short stories with an Arypie flair could sell. You have to put yourself out there first and not undercut your value.

Ah, I was thinking that, but I am not sure I am talented enough to offer writing commissions... I was training to be a technical writer, so my skill is actually in that. Are you a full blown NEET, or have you had any kind of secondary education or work of any kind in the past? A BS trick is to list things that you can tell a story with, even if they don't seem particularly relevant to a job.
If you can improvise a story that shows off a skill or scenario that highlights your strengths, you can spin it for a lot of different jobs. Obviously you'll get rejected outright from most applications because the application process is retarded, but getting noticed at all is one of the most important steps. If they even call you back, or better yet, request an interview, you're like 80% of the way there. A bit of embellishment is nothing as long as it gets you noticed and you can build off it.

1 - Find recruitment agencies. Not ones that deal with Polish/Mexican worked for dayjobs, but ones that look to get you into a white-collar job, and get a commission for doing so. They'll help you tidy your CV/Cover Letter, and provide some advice on interviewing

2 - Have three copies of your CV/Resume, and a pre-filled cover letter.
a - Entry level (walmart shelf stacker)
b - Basic white collar office worker
c - Specialized into the field you want to work in, but make sure you then edit it slightly each time
Cover letter should have something like "Reading your corporate website, I saw the ideal of [insert here], which resonates with me because [short anecdote]". Edit it each time, save it locally, and then send it all in.

3 - Use mega sites to find jobs, and then apply directly. So if you use indeed and find a job at Maccies, go and apply there directly. Have three different mega sites, and save searches for jobs uploaded in the last week, then visit each once a week. Track the ones you apply for in a spreadsheet somewhere, just so you don't re-apply.

4 - Research the company before going to the interview. According to my recruiter, 30% of people don't have an answer for "why do you want to work here?". Google "common interview questions", and figure out answers ahead of time.

Depending on the fields you'd be comfortable working, I'd look into internships if you aren't already. It might be tough if you've been out of school for some time but it'll at least get you through the door, and some places might hire you outright if you can prove yourself in a few months.

I've already started laying groundwork for my next big stream, working with some people in my discord to build hype for it, getting them emotionally invested. You ask them to make some decisions ahead of time - the 'puppy dog close'.

So you say to your superfans "Hey, we're going to be playing through Oblivion next week, straight playthrough until we finish maingame. Which race/class/style do you want me to play as for a speedrun attempt?". If you can ask at a time when people will discuss it (so you know two people have strong opinions), then they're now interested in it, and want to see it happen. They're your hypemen on your posts. Link the posts in the discord, ask them to drive engagement and push it up the rankings.

It's the same as any position, they've been vetted by a number of streamers and have been proven to do quality work, at least by the streamer's standards. Believe it or not, behind the scenes the more "involved" mods like Nemu's can actually affect the growth of other streamers indirectly.

I mod for someone pretty large (and talk to other mods similar to myself) and if you've ever seen a large VTuber raid someone way smaller for seemingly no reason whatsoever and despite no prior interaction, it's probably because a mod suggested it. When I was still a chuuba I benefited from this as well, the community is just one big interconnected web of chuubas and mods, so in a way I guess you're not a complete nutjob.

Precisely why I'm not a fan of it. It's potentially a huge conflict of interest. While the idea of someone directing traffic to smaller vtubers to help get them recognition sounds good on paper, it's far too easy for mods with a bias to direct traffic away from people they don't like and/or soley to people they mod for. It still is, the vtuber always makes the final call we just offer suggestions and usually not just on the fly when they're pressured to find a raid, more "professional" vtubers usually have a list they raid from though. It's not like we force it down their throat, usually just share clips of chuubas we like in Moderator channels and sometimes the streamer will check them out.

I absolutely get where you're coming from though, it can be a conflict of interest and there has been one case where someone banned a chuuba they had a history with, but that was taken care of by other mods. While it can be seen as a conflict of interest in the worst case scenario, usually its "Hey would you check them out sometime? Here's a clip. I mod for her and she's really nice, etc etc." It isn't really as insidious as you might think.
