Do not use skeb to buy a commercial vtubing model. It is against their TOS for you to use skeb art for commercial use - you shouldn't even post it unless you've requested to use it on SNS.
If you want a drawing, go for it, just hit the request button, type your request and place your references, Vroid and moodboard is enough.
But if you want a model ready to rig, contact them via twitter or pixiv.

Live2D models have up to hundreds of cut layers and mostly need to be done specially for it. If you just buy a normal png, you cannot.
Some very talented riggers can work with a flat png, but they are never going to have the same range of motion as a Live2D model made to be rigged.
You can buy a ready-to-rig model and just use the flat png as a reactive image though.

Anywhere from between $300-$1000 for the majority without rigging, super crazy stuff goes higher than that.
If you're just after a half body, or even a bust, I would be looking between the $200-$400 range for a talented artist.
There are cheaper out there, but remember, your model is how everyone who comes into your streams is going to perceive you.

Practice on HMP and then work up to UV! I'm a glutton for punishment so I play UV + pistol start every level, but you can play single segment UV, which makes things substantially easier. Ancient Aliens isn't too bad for single segment UV. Alien Vendetta is very punishing though, so probably play that on HMP to learn the maps.

I recommend using DoomLauncher, as well, it's just a clean interface to keep all your megawads organized, and you can save custom settings for each.

It's probably easier to use IDCLEV## to skip around maps you want to check out than extracting everything into one custom megawad, but if you need help with anything, just shoot me a message! And if you're ever planning multiplayer Doom stuff, use Zandronum, that's the easiest way these days. Happy Dooming!

Unfortunately I think you're fucked since I'm fairly certain you can't backport from .vrm to .vroid. You might be able to recreate your old model by uploading the .vrm into something like Blender or Unity and extracting the textures you used, but you'd need to recreate the proportions and hair.

Art in general is expensive, a full size anime drawing to specification is always $100-200 from a decent artist, $50 from some third worlder maybe if you're going light on shading.

And now you want it broken up in a bunch of layers specifically designed for L2D, which isn't a natural way of drawing and usually requires other things like props and such.
It makes sense why it would be at least $500.

People just massively undervalue art and don't realize how much it actually costs when you work with real artists.
